"@theavenger3 (No need to respond to DavidGX, as his commenting history has proven he's an internet troll with nothing constructive to add to the conversation) Point-by-point: Reddit, the site, much like Digg, creates no original content themselves outside of content from The Digg Blog and the /r/blog/ subreddit. Let's get that point clear. EVERYTHING ELSE is links from outside sources, user-generated. Neither Reddit nor Digg claim ownership or exclusivity of this linked content. Check their respective user agreements. My motivation for submitting content from wherever I find it is solely to get the content seen by as many people as possible, in as much as it's my ability to do so. Lastly, I have NEVER been paid by anyone to submit any story to Digg. I submit what I like because I think the content is worthy, and personally want to see it promoted. If you've heard otherwise, I'd love for you to provide the proof, because it's patently, unequivocally untrue."

"Reposting a great comment from LumberingOaf: http://digg.com/people... ... "Stop being a jackass. Reddit didn't create the pic. It just was posted on there. Nothing about Digg or Reddit is original. It's simply users providing links to content they think other people might find amusing or informative. Would you write to Newsweek and say "Would you mind not covering the Afghanistan war? I'm already reading about it in Time." So, if I may speak for the rest of the Digg community, please go back to Reddit and/or STFU about it. Btw, I'm sure that it's always one sided, I'm sure Reddit users never see anything on Digg and post it over there afterwards. (/s for that last bit, in case your sarcasm detector is broken.)""
