iraqi man throws shoes at Bush at press conference. i suspect there’s quite a few US citizens who would like to do the same thing! - http://fredwilson.vc/post...

We were at Mendon Ponds Park, specifically the Cobblestone house in the park. Its about 15 minutes from where I grew up (and where my parents still are) Bloomfield, NY. Basically right at the beginning of the fingerlakes. And thank you everyone!!

Man....getting married twice is cheating! I shoulda thought of that! And heck, if I'd known I'd get to wear my dress again, I might have had to rethink my travel plans! Glad you guys are having such a great time!

agreed. The fact that it's now being used as convincing evidence is driving me nuts. It's just a big cop out. Instead we just get "I'm just sayin'" - next time I hear this I'm gonna be like "that's just your opinion man!"

I love how trends arbitrarily annoy and inspire people. One person's delight is another's grievance. Do people really use these for actual rhetorical argument? The joke is that it is a cheap rhetorical trick -- a disclaimer -- not a serious attempt to more the conversation forward. Alternatives: "I'm just putting it out there." "It was just something to say." "[Evan Martin's "Just sayin'" shrug - non-verbal communication!]"
- Brett Lider
Yeah. it bothers me when "just sayin'" is used 'passive aggressively.' When it's obvious that something is a joke, or in good humor, I'm definitely down with that.

yup - we missed the 1st two weeks due to cruise but the last week was really good, liked the coverage and events

Agreed... I would never have watched any of this if not for all the media hype around the games. However, once I started watching, I was hooked. Watching the athletes is really very motivating and inspiring. In fact, I have been most productive working and watching the games in the background...

I wonder why they're illegal in the states, they do look good.
- Cornelius Toole
Why, oh why, can we not get these here in the States? I would love one of these. Much better than a Vespa as Florida is known to be rainy at times.

My dad and I first saw these in Stuttgart, in 2000, when BMW was testing them. According to WP article: "After selling 10,614 units in 2001, BMW only sold 2,000 units in 2002, and ceased production of the C1 in October 2002. It was never made available in the USA. Since going out of production, C1s have found new homes with collectors and as pit-bikes for some of the Formula One Grand Prix teams." I'm really hoping the crude oil reality of 2008 might bring this one back from the BMW recycle bin.
