OK, GUISE.
I know y’all never watch video posted to Tumblr. Hell. I don’t.
But you should really watch this one. My brother and a couple of classmates made it for their Chinese class and it is TEH AWESOME.
1. My brother has the best facial hair EVAR. (Sorry, Ross.)
2. There’s a dude in drag.
3. There’s a gag reel. Hilarity. - http://piscesinpurple.tumblr.com/post...

You had me at Momofuku. Spectacular food there.
- Donna Mugavero
OOH, I was at one of the momofuku spots the other night and thumbed thru this book. it's beautiful inside but....the ingredients are so outlandish there's no way I'd make even 1/5th of what's in there. lots of good info on the restaurants tho.

"In case you missed it, earlier this month at the New York Wine & Food Festival, Chang was onstage with the irrepressible Anthony Bourdain. Knocking back beers, the two were pontificating on their personal likes and dislikes in the culinary world. That’s when Chang reportedly said, “F*****g every restaurant in San Francisco is just serving figs on a plate. Do something with your food.” Well, in San Francisco, those were interpreted as some serious fighting words. The Northern California chapter of the Asia Society abruptly canceled a planned Nov. 8 appearance by Chang at E&O Trading Co. in San Francisco. He was scheduled to appear at the event with a number of other prominent Asian-American Bay Area chefs, one of whom withdrew after Chang made that comment. Indeed, what was supposed to be a simple stop to promote his first cookbook, “Momofuku” (Clarkson Potter), one of the most anticipated releases of the year, has turned into a rather highly charged situation because of the supposed dissing of San Francisco."

I just heard him in an interview on NPR talking about the book, the restaurant, and ramen in general. Fascinating.

You know, it occurred to me that I've never actually had the kind of ramen they were talking about.Still fascinated.

He wrote a bit about his noodle-learning quest in Japan. Good stuff. After weeks of practicing his soba-cutting techniques on newspaper, he was finally allowed to cut the dough he made - of course, this would never be served to customers - and yet his mentor and his mentor's friend stood over him "like a martial arts training scene out of 'Kill Bill'".

andrew c, wow. i like his attitude about the figs and enjoyed reading his answers to the questions in that article. wish i'd heard the npr thing.

la chula - A Man and his VERY Tolerant French Bulldog - There are shots of just his bulldog in this set too and all of them are fun, funny and well done. Love it!! http://www.flickr.com/photos...
her vagina is a heart <3 vagina monologues!

If you look quickly that first shot could easily be Worthington.
- Mark Krynsky
Caroline, it took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about. Completely forgot that I noticed that too in the second to last photo. It's very cute!
- Rachel Lea Fox
Mark, I agree. I have never seen a bulldog that calm. Especially not a Frenchie which often have much more energy then English bulls. I can't stop loving these photos though, even though as Tamara said they are horribly awesome!!
- Rachel Lea Fox
LOL on the cow/skunk, batman/robin and the tin man/dorothy ones. How in the world does he get that dog to tolerate having that stuff on?! Those are awesome!

"She may only have limited vision but Lucy the owl's disability hasn't stopped her from finding the perfect perch in life. The five-year-old Western Screech Owl can only see a short distance following an attack when she was just a fledgling. The tiny bird, who stands just six inches high and weighs just over eight ounces, was discovered under her nest site in Santa Barbara, California. Both her eyes had been punctured by a predator, possibly a small hawk or a corvid."

"Unable to survive in the wild, Lucy is now an invaluable 'staff' member at the Ojai Raptor Center in California where she helps to raise other orphaned youngsters. The small owl, who has a 12-inch wingspan, has only limited vision. Kim Stroud, director of the Ojai Raptor Center, comments: "She can see maybe 10 or 15 feet but we don't think she can identify objects. She wouldn't survive in the wild." However, despite her size and disability Lucy could live for a further 15 years."

Oh bummer! I was just thinking about this today because a coworker was telling me how she never really liked sweets much until after she received an organ donation, and she found herself being more into chocolate, peanut butter, coffee, and a few other things. And she firmly believes that it's due to the organ donor, but she can't find anything out about the girl because her parents...

No links to sources, I really dislike that. Here is at least a link to the first picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos... . I have seen some of the others before, but can't recall where.

"Fight twisted logic with statistics! People who have never been married are 58% more likely to die. That is according to an article published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health. Making marriage illegal for an entire segment of society is like sentencing them to an early death! Medical marijuana laws are being passed, maybe it is time to pass medical marriage laws."

Is this another one of those shirts promoting consent at 16?
- Cristo
sexual consent *is* 16 in most states. (although it appears some states have different consent laws for heterosexual vs. homosexual sex.)
- tiffany
Oh. I thought it was mostly 18, but then I've never researched it.
- Cristo
Derrick, the sellers (Removed: those) statistics must be wrong. As far as I know there is a 100% chance to die no matter whether or not you were/are married. Now if it was happiness, I could believe that to a degree. I'm for it, just can't use those statistics.
- Jimminy
I'm pretty sure it's not 100%. There's got to be a statistical chance of vampires out there.
- Cristo
Cristo, but vampires don't get married, they just have gigantic lustful blood orgies.
- Jimminy
I saw a great paint job on a car in SF today about prop 8, i'll be creating a Flickr set later. I thought of you D when I took the photo :)
- Nicholas Kreidberg
Jimminy, those stats aren't any that I've surmised; they come straight from the seller of the shirt's site.

Here is a fact - the majority of Gays come from a Heterosexual (physical) relationship . If you are "doing it right" when raising your kids - the highest form of flattery is that they would want everything you have...ie. a happily wedded union!

RAP, even my son loves that movie, so I bet your kids will enjoy it. He can quote most of it, too.

My family likes to quote that movie. Deer lips!

I love it when he comes out of the cabin blasting at what ever is making the noise, then walks back in cussing and then it shows the owl looking like WTF? Funny stuff.
