The frogs at our new apartment are quite noisy, though supposedly, I'll get used to it. Hope froggy mating season doesn't last too long.

Has anyone got their iPhone internet tethering working with Windows? Gave it a quick try earlier but without any luck.
@mstum Yep, did that too, though I think it's only needed if accessing using the instance name. Should be ok without it when using ip,port
Sheesh, finally got it working.. Reset the accounts and passwords, restarted SQL Server Express yet again, and can now connect remotely.
Wonder if I need to reboot the box for changes to take effect... Only been restarting the SQL Server. Not too keen on doing that though.
@mstum Yep, TCP/IP is enabled in SQL Server Configuration Manager, alon with Shared Memory and Named Pipes...
@CharlesPal Yep, I can connect to it fine via SSMSE over RDP. Using the same creds remotely using IP,port syntax gives me a login failed err
Opened up ports and trying to connect to SQL Server 2005 Express but getting login failures. My patience is starting to wear thin.
