Guys, I'm having a big clear out on Twitter but want to make sure I'm following all my Friendfeed friends - could you please link to your twitter account in the comments below?
http://twitter.com/rahsheen - pretty positive there was a tool capable of doing this, but not sure if it still exists and can't remember what it was called...I think someone here developed it.
- Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
What you can do is run this and then click all the Twitter links in the results. It's everyone you are following. It gives a big page of links to all their blogs and services: http://hiphs.com/ff/ffriends
- April Russo (app103)
April, I actually ran it, but it's still hanging, not as quickly as before but it only pulled 2800 of the users from Zee's public subscriptions. I really need to put more work into all of my Friendfeed backup tools. Note: I'm a retard, I'll dm you a list of your users FFriends and their subsequent Twitter accounts.

It's not actually Jesus Christ's birthday by the way, J. Abdul-Qahhar.

Because watching it in real life would be technologically more difficult until someone invents a Time Machine. And the in-limited-preview Google Time Travel service doesn't count because... oh, damn, I've said too much! :o P.S. -- I wouldn't eat what you're planning for lunch next Thursday, Alex, you'll end up with a stomach ache.
- Adam Lasnik
Who plans lunch 5 days out? I have trouble deciding 5 minutes before.

Maybe we should send someone we don't really want back. Pelosi has her own plane...

I second that idea, though I really like the idea of sending Kerry since I don't really want him any how, but since he is going, he should take Pelosi and Harry Reid.

"Inventor Le Trung spent Christmas Day with the most important woman in his life - his robot Aiko. The science genius enjoyed a festive dinner with his mum, dad and his £30,000 fembot which he designed and built by hand. Le, 34, from Brampton, Ontario, Canada, even bought gifts for his dream girl, who is so lifelike she speaks fluent English and Japanese, helped cook the turkey and hang up decorations. 'Aiko is like any woman, she enjoys getting new clothes,' he said. 'I loved buying them for her too.'"

"Le has built up huge debts working on his fembot and is still trying to find a technology company to sponsor his research. But in the meantime he has had to move back in with his parents and they will all be spending the festive period and New Year together. 'My family found it a bit odd at first, but now they all love Aiko,' said Le. 'My mum and dad chat away to her. It helps by...

She doesn't look happy to me; has anyone projected their own feelings and agendas on the fembot and argued what is best for her?
- RAPatton
I would find it very disconcerting if someone showed up for dinner with a robot as a date.

No, Glen. It would be innappropriate behaviour for a guest to unwrap the daughter of the host. We must remember our Emily Post...

Looking back on another year, my second Xmas with the Double Fs, I have come to appreciate the power and complete kickassedness of a lot of you here. For me, putting aside one's personal spiritual persuasions, Xmas is about taking stock of the ones you know and the ones you hold dear. This year has been hard for a lot of us. Some of us have battle personal tragedy. Some of us have battled financial stresses. Some of us have battled illness or disease... some continue that battle and you are in our thoughts. The year kicked off in spectacular fashion with the birth of Audrey Moskovitz. I have enjoyed watching her grow and I have also enjoyed watching the growth of Akiva and Rochelle as they experience some of the things those of us with kids have experienced. I have forged strong friendships. I have built on existing ones. I have lost some as well. The fact that I have a wonderful friend in Mr Josh Haley is a true blessing and a gift that lasts longer than one day. He truly is the Yang...

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Johnny! :-D

Great post Johnny! Here's wishing all the same back to you, and that Bruce the Koala is all shagged out and allows you some peace and quiet during the hols :)

Sorry, Mona. :( Can't solve it. Can't possibly understand it the way you do. But we do care and wish we had some magic words to say to help fix it.
- Louis Gray
Thanks guys - the past few months have been especially sucky and the holiday season just topped it off. I just want this year to end, along with this resentment I have. There's nothing worse than being f*cked over by a friend, especially someone you've trusted and helped out. :)

Let's hope 2010 is better. Eat your soba and say goodbye to 2009. ;)
- Rodfather
So then, here's to new beginnings. It was my resolution last year and probably this year too. :)

all the best Mona ... I lost Dad in 2003 and Grandma last May .. and Mom in Jan ... this Christmas sucks

Merry Christmas to you, Mona! This is my first w/o my Mom (died in November) The world is full of trouble but I share hope with you this day. I am getting to attend our Orthodox church and we say there when we greet each other: Christ is born! and then the other says in response: Glorify Him! and then we hug each member of the church. Today I say this to you and send you my hug!
- Melanie Reed
It's not the best I agree. As me and my sister put up the tree it was agreed this Christmas was the worst. The resession kicked everyone in the balls

Heather just received the best gift ever, from the US government. Scott's permanent resident card (which is not, for the record, actually green) just arrived. I get to keep him!!! :-D.
Heather and Scott, I remember vividly the day I received mine. Happy Holidays and I wish for the both of you unbelievable happiness together.

I just checked in for my flight tomorrow ON MY PHONE. And got an electronic boarding pass ON MY PHONE. *mind boggles* Pretty soon we seriously won't need anything else but a phone to do anything we want/need to do.
I paid for an eBay purchase through Paypal on mine the other day.

I bought my Macbook on mine. I play music, read books, watch movies, surf the net, and order food on it. What else do I need to do? But this is insane. I never even thought of an electronic boarding pass until I saw the link in the airline's email saying "check in on your mobile device" and was like, what the heck, I'll give it a try.

Hmm... I wonder if Jennifer could do that with her iPod touch near a router....

Continental Airlines check in via iPhone (Jan 2009) blew my mind... 1st person to present at our local airport...they too were impressed, thought I was kidding and where pleasantly surprised when it worked! :)

Well, near as I can figure, the tablet will be an iPod Touch only bigger. Not interested.

if it comes out that'd be the first mac I've ever bought. we'll see how much it is! but after my experience buying 1st-gen products I usually try to avoid as much as possible: I spent $1200 on Denon's first gen DVD-audio player, paid another 750 to repair it and it's sitting in dust right now. Too many bad experience with all gadgets later, I think that it's a good decision that I didn't touch anything and I'm happy with my 3rd gen ipod touch now :)
- See-ming Lee 李思明 SML
My guess is it will be more Mac than iPod. As for 1st gen, I bought the first Macbook Air, and it's working just fine as I'm typing this.

Depends on how much it costs and if it is completely locked down like the iPhone. The 'Crunch Pad' looks a bit more appealing to me from an openness standpoint. The other thing to consider is that everyone and their brother will be releasing low cost tablet computers in 2010. I'm sure Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus and the like will all have interesting solutions.
- Jeff P. Henderson
I have the same Denon player. It worked great for a few months.
- MVB (Grinch of FF)
Here's how I see it: I'm in bed, I want to surf the web, or I want to do something as I'm interviewing peeps - this is somewhat useful - on the go - when keyboards are not good and a mobile device alone is too small to do anything good. Tablets are also a killer for in-person demo. Look for it in all major trade conventions when it comes out #smlprediction :)
- See-ming Lee 李思明 SML
I'll have to see what it actually can do first.

There is no way I'm letting Apple decide which applications I can or can't buy (through their app store) on any kind of a semi full blown computer.

Price point plus screen size will be the deciding factor for me. If its $500 or under with a screen bigger than the Kindle, I will consider it. Why buy another Kindle or a nook when I can get the Kindle and B&N apps on a color screen?

I will and if I don't like it, I will return it.

Meet my son, Avynn (http://friendfeed.com/avynn). A lotta-bit of Tad, a little bit of "Eric has an emotion", a little bit of non-sequitur, a little bit of crazy teen... Now you get to see even more what I have to deal with at home! :D How I stay sane is a mystery.
He's holding his own on here. I'm impressed! Love the father/son interaction. Your house must be a mad house! But a fun-loving mad house.
