@jeffkirvin It's a shame. I bet they're missing out on a ton of sales.
@jeffkirvin yeah, I used to love it, and I'm looking for a generic gaming system... but I can't support that price for an intangible.
For fiction writers who are tabletop RPG gamers: what OGL or CC licensed system best compliments your writing / worldbuilding / planning?
HERO games expects people to shell out $30.00 for a PDF? Are they nuts?
@vinzrothenburg mostly through attempted legislature that has (interpreted versions) of xian values for its inspiration.
Happy birthday Carl Sagan. Thank you for your optimism, your passion and your inspiration. http://www.retroland.com/retrobl... #saganday
ugh. facebook slothlike again. Taking over a minute and counting to add a link to a wall post. tick tock.
@Wolfshade Didn't start out that way...
@Rasplundjr those tweets were in relation to a discussion with @JediMaster_OPS, who is offended by the phrase "happy holidays"
@vinzrothenburg I'm not opposed to anyone believing whatever they like, so long as they don't impose that belief on me.
@JediMaster_OPS I'm saying you don't need 2 insist people not say "happy holidays." It's not meant as an offense or a way to kill Christmas.
1) Christians get a month (minimum!) of evangelical music in stores and eateries all over the country, promoting Christianity. (cont...)
3) In every major market in the US, at least one radio station gives it's entire airtime to evangelical music promoting Christianity (cont.)
@JediMaster_OPS Like most twitter conversations, this one has lost context. *What* is an irrelevant point?
@JediMaster_OPS I notice you didn't address my point about treating others like you would have others treat you. Speaks volumes.
@JediMaster_OPS (see my previous 3 tweets; no room to @ you. ) Conclusion: you needn't worry about Christmas being discriminated against.
@JediMaster_OPS I need more than one tweet for this, so bear with me. Reasons you don't need to worry about "happy holidays:"
@JediMaster_OPS If the store policy is no religious content, employee has to abide by it. Only discrimination if it only applies to xians.
@JediMaster_OPS Your apparent refusal to acknowledge as valid that other people celebrate the holiday season differently, that does.
2) Christian iconography takes over entire sections of otherwise secular retail stores for at least 2 months, promoting Christianity (cont.
X3 could have been AWESOME. But no. http://io9.com/5400510...
instant happiness: "That's What You Always Say" - Dream Syndicate comes up on the rotation. Is it too early for beer? #retro #80s #postpunk
The Dream Syndicate – That's What You Always Say (Down There EP version) - http://www.last.fm/music...
@vinzrothenburg Hah! Too early. Plus, the song is over so the desire has passed. :-)
Need more coffee and an english muffin. My fruit smoothie didn't cut it this morning... but I *am* losing weight! <-- meaningless #minutiae
@JediMaster_OPS Employees saying "happy holidays" ensures that all customers are included, not just Christians. That's not discrimination.
@JediMaster_OPS It seems you don't respect some people's feelings just because of their beliefs. Don't you want them to respect u for yours?
@JediMaster_OPS It's not an either or. Others celebrate other things. The "holiday season" is not exclusively owned by Christmas.
@jchutchins you're in my Google Reader share list, natch.
