Perhaps like Dallas did in their last Finals, Miami will use this to fire themselves up next time. Onlu it ain't gonna get any easier. These playoofs showed a lot of good up and coming teams (Chicago, OKC, Atlanta). That's twice LBK has been in and twice came up short. Hope his mental toughness is A-1 because the real heat is about to come on him.
- blackChinahand
yeah, now time for Dirk to mock Wade and LBJ
- blackChinahand
Dirk was awesome the entire playoffs. So many awesome moments. I'm glad he got one.
- Rodfather
from iPhone
Yeah, Dirk has shown himself to be one of the best if not the best 7 footer with and outside game
- blackChinahand
You know we'll be hearin a lot from Cuban soon
- blackChinahand
...so tonight we can put that stat away: "Since going to the 2-3-2 format, the team that wins Game 3 always wins the series..." SHUT. UP!
- .LAG liked that
I'm sure MJ, Magic, IBird and Kobe are thinking LBJ's got a bit more maturing to due before hitting the greatness
- blackChinahand
Riley seems to like Spoelstra, too. Hopefully they'll both keep their jobs.
- Victor Ganata
Spoelstra may have been outcoached, but to be honest, the Mavs just outplayed the Heat, especially in the Fourth Quarter of EVERY game this series—this loss is on the players
- .LAG liked that
What gets me about this series was that by all accounts Miami played better than Dallas in 5 of the 6 games until crunch time in the fourth where unbelievably they just disappeared. That seemed to be one big mental mistake ... that not a one of them could get around. Maybe having too many stars is the wrong way to go as they ALL want to be the hero.
- blackChinahand
On the other hand, if the Heat don't turn on themselves over this ... I say right now they are the favorites to win it next year
- blackChinahand
...LeBron and Bosh signed up for SIX years, trust me, the Heat will be back next year...look at the NBA Eastern Conference, yes, you have the Bulls, but who else? Celtics are too old, all the rest, including my Knicks, are missing a few pieces to become legit contenders
- .LAG liked that
Yeah. The 3 are locked in for a while
- Rodfather
from iPhone
One killer stat ... the Heat made only 13 of 33 FTs and let the Mavs score 27 points off of turnovers. That says it all. They were playing tight, tight, tight.
- blackChinahand
Lot of contracts expiring at the end of next season, though. Could be some owners are thinking trading before time is up could be worthwhile.
- Victor Ganata
...oh, yeah, let's not forget: there WILL be an NBA lockout before next season begins!
- .LAG liked that
Yeah, I wonder if there will even be a season at all.
- Victor Ganata
Lebron ... go home and learn about the word humility ... #Mavs.
- Amani
I don't think humility is ever going to be part of his character, even after he showed the world that he's scared to have the ball in his hands in the 4th quarter in the finals.
- Patrick Jordan
Ah, the killer combination: lack of a killer instinct, lack of the ability to self-reflect, and an overweening arrogance. I'm sure he'll go far in his career.
- Victor Ganata
...and then Chalmers hits a half-court runner at the buzzer, and both teams score more points in a quarter than all series. Miami 31, Dallas 30, end of Q1
- .LAG liked that
Awesome game. Was just re-watching the last few minutes and LeBron's athleticism is unbelievable. Shawn Marion gets out on the open floor, LeBron's not only right there with him while running half-backwards, he jumps a fraction of a second after Marion and gets there and higher to challenge the shot.
- Andrew C (✓)
It's funny LeBum and Rashard Lewis is trending on Twitter. Why is LeBron always finding out someone is banging someone close to him during the playoffs?
- Rodfather
Two parades for the Mavs. One in Dallas and one in Cleveland. :)
- DJ Stevie Steve
Well .. if the big decision meant anything, this is the perfect set-up to show what it meant. Down 2 games but playing 2 in your home court. Subpar "team play" in 4th quarter from the two players that decided to go to South Beach. They'll either be heroes and set for multiple titles or dawgs struggling from under the pile of criticism that will come from every direction with doubts that they can win even one championship together. The heat is on ... they'll either melt or be forged into something stronger.
- blackChinahand
If Dallas wins, they, in my mind, would have shown the best total championship play since I started watching NBA Finals. Killer comeback, after Killer comeback. That's some awesome ballin' and proof that not only do you need a star(s) (read: Dirk No-miss-ki) but also some tough and veteran role players to win. Also if Dallas wins be prepared for a Mark Cuban PR offensive (which truly would be something to see)
- blackChinahand

Unofficial 2010 NBA Finals Thread - Celtics vs. Lakers: post your reactions, rants, raves and non-sequiturs on the 2010 Playoffs here (http://www.nba.com/finals2...):
LAG, there's plenty of time. Even with a (current) 11 point lead, I'm not relaxing. Even with an 11 point lead in the 4th quarter, I'm not going to relax. 39 points in the 4th quarter, I'll relax. (And grin, if that were to happen.)
- John E. Bredehoft
...I'm trying to root for the Lakers, because I can't root for the Celtics... but I can't root for the Lakers either ... I want to see some movie stars disappointed tonight, but then, I don't want Boston movies stars like Ben Affleck and sh*t happy either! Damn!

Teams of all-stars sometimes work (Celtics now), sometimes don't (Lakers when they got Payton and Karl Malone).
- John E. Bredehoft
John last night on the ESPN nightly hoops show, they had this sports trainer explain why Rondo's so good... he's got hand size and arm length about the the same size as a man a foot taller than him
- .LAG liked that
Lakers better not let the Celtics climb back into this game
- .LAG liked that
I like that they had a little segment on Fisher. Total class act. When i lived in SoCal and was able to watch Laker games, i noticed he was always willing to talk to reporters after the game and represent the team.
- Rodfather
Whenever the Inland Empire radio station (KSPA) broadcasts a Lakers game, they have to tell people to go to their website to hear the minor league baseball (Rancho Cucamonga Quakes) broadcast.
- John E. Bredehoft
I've always liked Fisher. I like how he plays. I like how he carries himself on an off the court. And man can he hit big shots.
- DB Botts - Just DB Botts
If Pierce and Ray Allen aren't shooting well, the Celtics are just an average offensive team, even with Big Ticket and Rondo making plays... tonight Rondo's just OK too, that's why they're getting blown out
- .LAG liked that
How many penalties have there been during the game so far?
- John E. Bredehoft
It seems like it's been a pretty physical game
- .LAG liked that
Is it Laker D or Celtics O being off tonight?
- .LAG liked that
Yeah. Very physical. Gotta say I've been impressed with Artest offensively the last 2 and 3/4 games.
- DB Botts - Just DB Botts
Artest... marches to the beat of a different drum machine
- .LAG liked that
Celts O is definitely off tonight but I think a lot of that is because of good Lakers D. This first little stretch of the 4th will be telling. Normally Phil rests Kobe at the beginning of the 4th. Can the 2nd team come in and maintain the lead? Or do the Celts make a run to get back in it?
- DB Botts - Just DB Botts
DB... which came first, the chicken or the egg? Celtics offensive ineptitude or Lakers defensive excellence?
- .LAG liked that
I think it's a little more a matter of the Celtics offense being off tonight. Have they even hit any 3's tonight?

We're getting closer and closer to jello jiggling time - but we're not there yet.
- John E. Bredehoft
Prediction: Laker fans will start leaving the building at 5 minutes to go
- Rodfather
Rodfather's prediction is especially odd, since it's not even 8:30 pm yet. I have the feeling that if the game were in Boston, and it were 11:30, many fans would stay.
- John E. Bredehoft
I haven't read Paul Pierce's comments on El-Lay fans, but I suspect that he's right about us.
- John E. Bredehoft
It's what Laker fans do. Get there late and leave early.
- Rodfather
yeah, but Laker fans arrive late, leave early anyway... they got botox appointments and sh*t to go to...

What does Phil Jackson's whistle mean? He's been doing it since the Bulls days. Do they run a certain play when he whistles? I've always wondered that.
- DB Botts - Just DB Botts
LAG, I guess I'm conservative. I haven't put this game in the refrigerator yet.

- .LAG liked that
John.. it's done. Lakers win. (secrety I hope I'm wrong)
- .LAG liked that
Still time. The jello ain't jiggling yet
- Rodfather
Me either. All they need is for Ray Allen to hit a couple. That being said it is looking less and less likely.
- DB Botts - Just DB Botts
It doesn't matter, Lakers need to win both of these games, not the Celtics. It will be different in Boston, and this is one of those 2-3-2 series

Is Staples Center still doing that taco promotion? Fans couldn't get tacos with the high scoring Suns, but tonight looks promising.
- John E. Bredehoft
In Memphis we used to get free tacos or a two piece dinner at KFC if the Grizz scored more than 100. Taco Bell and KFC didn't lose much money on that promotion over the years.
- DB Botts - Just DB Botts
This game's in the refrigerator. The door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard, and the jello is jiggling.
- Rodfather
...won't you look silly walking into a Taco Bell, asking for your one "Laker" taco...LOSER!
- .LAG liked that
So, will Game 2 be closer? Or will it perhaps be a Celtics win?
- John E. Bredehoft
The tacos are in doubt. (Edit: Not any more) You gotta have it wired though. They put the free coupon in the program so you gotta hang out and collect discarded programs as folks walk out. You can have free tacos or whatever for a several days.

The brawl, the trade demands and holdout, he plays good, hard D but he has a target on his back. He's a marked man in the eyes of officials. And I just think he's a liability. ...let's consider the "refs are paid off" scenario, from the NBA's point-of-view, allegedly: the best thing for the league, from a TV revenue angle is to extend the series so it gets back to LA. another Magic win guarantees that outcome.
- .LAG liked that
sure you dunk it. there was nothing wrong with dunking the ball at the end of the game. this ain't charity. Pau's 7 ft tall anyway. it doesn't take much for him to reach the rim
- Cee Bee
so how did the lakers shoot no free throws for a fifteen minute stretch at the end of the game again
- Daniel J. Pritchett
it wasn't from a lack of effort. kobe was trying his best to draw the foul.
- DB Botts - Just DB Botts
the problem is the magic have low basketball IQ
- Amani
from IM
disagree. they will not be in the finals if they have low bb iq
- AJ Batac :)
remember you are up against lakers and still go to OT. man, that is a good team there.
- AJ Batac :)
several games they have showed little mistakes b/c of low basktball IQ - not closing out properly on shooters, improper rotation, silly fouls, stale offense, etc, etc
- Amani
from IM
if they played smarter they could be UP 3-1 in the series
- Amani
from IM
that's what it is, the magic are inexperienced and it sure don't help them that the master of panic is coaching them. don't get me wrong, he's a good coach, but not usually during clutch moments when the pressure is on the magic.
- Cee Bee
choke is the word. orlando dominated the first half. they gave their lead back in the first few minutes of the 3rd. all down hill from there.
- DB Botts - Just DB Botts
I still remember the voice.. 'Double dribble!'
- Rodfather
I would only try to slow motion dunks. nothing else.
- chrisofspades
from email
I actually don't think it's a double. Probably a travel, though...
- Ryne Nelson
Ryne, it's very clearly a double dribble. not even close. you cannot switch the ball from one hand to the other mid-dribble. it has to hit the ground.
- chrisofspades
Come on Magic! Sidenote: My little girl has been cheering for the Lakers since about 4:45. Nonstop. I finally calmed her down and put on the pregame show.
- Anika
The Magic are 0-6 in Finals games in their short history. I think the numbers are on their side for at least one win in this series. Tonight's the best night to get it. Because if they lose, it's probably over.

So, when did basketball audiences become football audiences with the face painting and Terrible Towel (yes, it waill *always* be the Terrible Towel no matter the color)?
- Anika
Has anyone else noticed that all the folks in that NBA "Thank You" commercial are playoff losers? With Howard at the very end. NBA practicing some foreshadowing?

Anika ...when basketball got a bigger TV contract, and more clowns realized they could get on TV by dressing up like, well, clowns, and leaving their houses for the arena. My theory. <wink>

I don't know. It looks like Kobe's really the only one keeping the offense running for the Lakers. I'm not sure if they can really win like that.

When Kobe plays below average, it's surprising how beatable the Lakers seem. The Magic need to stretch this lead before Kobe inevitably wakes up and takes over
- .LAG liked that
Usually even on an off night Kobe still scores around 24 points. But he can't do it alone. I wonder if any other Laker is going to step up their game? I know Gasol is working, too, but where's the rest of them?

...be the first commenter...or the last: if you think about it, the Magic are just one miracle, 0.6 second layup from being up 2-1 in this series, with two more home games in hand. and the blowout in game 1 was close for 3 quarters. this series is FAR from over. see you on Thursday.
- .LAG liked that
@Decjr ...but the Magic could have said the same thing in Game #2: they missed 7 FTs, including 6 in a row, in a game they lost by 5 points, in overtime. these teams are evenly matched ...except when Kobe plays like a regular human.
- .LAG liked that
Yeah, Kobe not playing like a superhuman was what did the Lakers in. When's the last time the guy missed more than half his free throws?

He said, "No, I'm a fan." Then showed me his tats of jersey numbers; Abdul-Jabbar, Magic, Shaq, Kobe...insanity.
- Anika
Victor... true that: the Lakers' fans are the dictionary definition of "front runners." but then, it's LA, and there's so many other distractions. On LeBron and the Knicks, it's funny that everyone says that -- and I'm a Knicks fan -- but if you look at the Nets, they're actually in a better position to get him. They have the point guard, in Devin Harris, they have the promising, young big man in Brooke Lopez, they have the athletic Chinese guy in Jian, they have the new arena, and they have Jay-Z, who's always hanging around LeBron, who's also an owner in the Nets. Well, the table is all set for the Lakers to finish this series. Up 16 going into the fourth. Anyone here willing to say: "This is over!"?
- .LAG liked that
i'm willing to keep the faith in denver...since i want them to win and all.
- Anika
Hell no. They've blown leads twice as big as that in far less time than a whole quarter.
- Victor Ganata
...but David Stern doesn't want the Nuggets to win, nor does corporate sponsors like Nike and VitaminWater...
- .LAG liked that
True, Victor, but the Nuggets look completely inept tonight...
- .LAG liked that
Disney, ESPN and ABC are one happy family...boy they'd love having a team in Orlando -- home of Disneyland -- play a team from Los Angeles, eh?
- .LAG liked that
Man, I wish Pau had taken charge earlier in this series.
- Victor Ganata
If Orlando doesn't have a big lead tomorrow you can expect the refs to give the game to Cleveland, also them try to get Howard ejected or something
- Wayne Sutton
the door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter is getting hard, and the Jello is jigglin'
- Rodfather
Anika, you might want to try youtube next week, found some of the videos online longer than on tv
- Wayne Sutton
...well, now that Kobe's ticket to the Finals is practically punched, what will LeBron do to keep his end of the bargain?
- .LAG liked that
That's been the big issue in all of the playoffs, though. They're not very consistent about calling them. I wonder if George Karl will comment again.
- Victor Ganata
LOL, well that wasn't a very good foul.
- Victor Ganata
i think the flagrant was called because he hit Paul in the head and didn't look like he was going after the ball
- Wayne Sutton
I've been impressed with the Lakers tonight. I have to make them a prohibitive favorite over either the Magic or the Cavs in the Finals.
- .LAG liked that
Not sure if I'll be near a computer, but I always have FFTOGO on my mobile, so I'll be happy to open another thread tomorrow night, when we watch the Cavs extend their series to seven. Thanks everyone for joining in!

Unofficial Official Live Thread - Orlando Magic vs Cleveland Cavaliers - Game 5 @ 8:30PM EST/ 5:30PM PST on TNT. Magic leads series 3-1 (since I can't find @Bwana's feed)
Whats up Lag, thanks for starting the thread. Magic just creeping back. Amazing
- Amani
Welcome, Wayne... I started the thread because Bwana was producing another epic podcast! the Cavs are tanking, after a GREAT start
- .LAG liked that
Amani... the Cavs are showing why they're not a championship caliber TEAM
- .LAG liked that
Cavs are going to get yelled at now. Even the arena isn't behind them right now.
- Anika
Sorry... I think this game is over...see my PREDICTION a couple of posts above. The Cavs had this team down 32-10, and were on the verge of running the Magic out of town...and now it's a 1-point game. The Magic have dominated the 3rd and 4th quarters of this series...are we witnesses?
- .LAG liked that
Down 1 at the half, the Magic going to pull away in 2nd half :)
- Wayne Sutton
Orlando came storming back. wow ... like they cut 21 points off the lead AND THEY AREN'T EVEN PLAYING WELL. :O ... wow ...
- Amani
The high pick and roll is killing Cleveland
- Amani
Anika ...because his Cleveland contract expires next season, and he want's to be a "global icon" (quotes his)...you can't be global in Cleveland, and the Knicks need a superstar.
- .LAG liked that
Did you guys see that clipboard? It was like 2 different kinds of wood? *drool* Actually, it looks like 3. </shallow>
- Anika
Daniel ...I heard about that this morning. Since the Chinese own so many US Dollars, perhaps they'll make LeBron an offer he can't refuse to stay in Cleveland.
- .LAG liked that
But come on, LeBron, playing in the Mecca of Basketball, Madison Square Garden? Who wouldn't want to see that? 41 times a year?
- .LAG liked that
When was the last time someone cool played for the Knicks though? MSG has surely lost some luster.
- Daniel J. Pritchett
I can't see Cleveland dropping 3 straight games to the Magic. I may have to call my bookie and bet on them. The arena is scared. Magic missed 10 FREE THROWS. If they ever play a complete game. Lebron and Mo will take over (they better)!!
- Amani
Anika ...hahahaha...along with Ozzy Osbourne himself, there's another Black Sabbath "person" I can't understand w.t.f. they're saying. .LOLz
- .LAG liked that
looks like the lebron james akron bike-a-thon is gonna be taking place a lot sooner than expected. i wonder what the "coach of the year" is brewing up in the lockeroom right about now. prolly some poison so he can jim jones himself before the cleveland crowd hang him
- Cee Bee
Amani ...heard Hubie Brown on the radio this morning, perhaps the best NBA commentator, and he said the problem the Cavs have is that the Magic DOMINATE the 3rd and 4th quarters in this series. If someone else besides LeBron doesn't step up in the 2nd half, this game is over.
- .LAG liked that
Cee Bee: what can Coach Brown do? Big Mouth Mo Williams has become invisible since making his guarantee... no one else but LeBron is showing up. TEAMS win in the playoffs, not PLAYERS.
- .LAG liked that
I love the classic NBA moments commercials, where they isolate the players making the classic plays... and it makes me appreciate the baggy shorts players rock these days. Grown men should not run around in short, butt-hugging nylon-and-lycra shorts. .LOLz
- .LAG liked that
....LeBron would have plowed over both of them: he's bigger and faster
- .LAG liked that
lol, they would have laid Lebron out
- Wayne Sutton
LeBron is 6-8, about 265, and he's faster than most point guards... you have to catch him to hit him, and he's bigger than you anyway
- .LAG liked that
ok, back to the game, Howard must learn how to take a charge or just stay on the ground, don't jump, just stand there!
- Wayne Sutton
how come i never hear anyone suggesting lebron is on drugs
- Daniel J. Pritchett
In America, most of the top basketball prospects are known from 12 years old or even younger. (and so there's drug scrutiny since then, I would assume.)
- Andrew C (✓)
true, I've only heard of it once with Tracey Magrady, how he beefed up
- Wayne Sutton
And even here, my old playgroup was filled with wives of athletes and the NBA guys didn't even drink a beer at our parties. They were like straight edge compared to the soccer or baseball guys.
- Anika
So the Magic continue to be better in the third ...and fourth quarters?
- .LAG liked that
Daniel ...Coach Cal is what they call "a good recruiter" ...which means: he'll do anything it takes to get a blue-chip recruit onto his team. pay for the consequences later. he's teflon. the programs he's coached at, less so.
- .LAG liked that
"What's your hybrid sound like?" ROFLMAO --->
- Anika
I love those V-Dub commercials too... rented a Prius once, didn't hear ANYTHING
- .LAG liked that
Thanks everyone for joining this faux-Bwana thread. I hand back the reins to the real Bwana for tomorrow night's Nuggets/Lakers tilt. I'll be at a hotel, hopefully, they have decent connectivity. Until then...out!
- .LAG liked that
Game on!! I may be a little late to this one, so I'm getting the thread started earlier than normal. Tell your friends! Another epic thread in the making!
- Bwana ☠
This would be a good game to watch at the bar and talk smack.
- Rodfather
headed to the bar shortly ... gonna walk the dog and get there by halftime ... gonna be on the iphone with the live thread!! ;-)
- Amani
from IM
I'm looking for big games from Carmelo and Pau Gasol tonight...
- .LAG liked that
Think I'll do the same Amani. Or bring the netbook
- Rodfather
I'm tempted to skip this game. There is something wrong with My Lakers. Will they show up tonight?
- ha3rvey (Hugs 50% off!)
I'm not skipping because they will lose. I'm skipping because I don't know if it's gonna be the Lakers or some imposters. :)
- ha3rvey (Hugs 50% off!)
ha3rvey LOLz! don't take anything away from the Nuggets, though. They're somewhat responsible for creating some problems for the Flakers.
- .LAG liked that
ESPN pre-game is covering Lamar Odom's "sweet tooth" ...maybe less candy and more beef jerky and he'd play tougher. hahaha
- .LAG liked that
Cristo, this thread would be a lot more enjoyable without your _constant_ heckling. Take a break every now and then....please...
- Bwana ☠
Kobe is the best player in the league, IMHO, sorry LeBron. But after Kobe, I think up and down the lineups, Denver has MORE talent than the Lakers.
- .LAG liked that
Magic Johnson picks the Lakers tonight. I'm shocked. Shocked! <wink>
- .LAG liked that
...it's a good thing Kobe saved all his energy for the 4th quarter. remember how gassed he was after their win in Denver. i know thin air had an effect, but he'll have no excuses in this game.
- .LAG liked that
Billups needs to lead his team and not let the players get out of control
- Rodfather
has there been any technical fouls called?
- Wayne Sutton
is it me or is denver getting hacked with no calls?
- Amani
from IM
i like that the refs are letting them play, but it's working against the nuggets with the momentum the lakers have. not looking good for denver now
- Cee Bee
Damn drunk at the bar almost ruined the 4th quarter for me. Talking about how Michael Jordan started the trend of long shorts in the NBA. Dude, it's the 4th quarter. I don't want to talk about shorts right now haha
- Rodfather
LOL I used to hate the long short discussion. Seems to be a favorite topic of drunks.
- Anika
I had to say back, it's almost offensive that John Stockton still wore daisy dukes 'til the end.
- Rodfather
Ah, don't mess with my boy. Stockton was keeping it real.
- Anika
Haha. Maybe it's all good for you, but I don't want to see his nuts when going up for a layup.
- Rodfather
Damn. You figured out my master plan. LOL i was a HUGE Jazz fan because of Stockton and the Stockton/Malone combo was beautiful to watch.
- Anika
Howard is unstoppable tonight, going up 3-1
- Wayne Sutton
Howard's had 30+ point games where Orlando's lost. Lewis and Turkoglu have to pick it up eventually for them to win.
- Jed
that was not a foul. is someone keeping a count on the bad cavs call tonight?
- Wayne Sutton
Johnson was running away from the play. Mo Williams played like a diva and dove into the crowd for effect. Stern makin the calls on his batphone early
- Cee Bee
I guess most of FriendFeed has no interest in this series? (Probably because a lot are California based?)
- Jed
Lebron James: When 3 steps just isn't enough
- Cee Bee
I think the league should give a yearly award to the player with the least complaining to the referee. (assuming they get PT to be able to complain)
- Jed
nah, it's been pretty even throughout with the crabaliers getting some extra points in near the end of the second. magic haven't been playing all that well, but they're only down by 8
- Cee Bee
Orlando should have Bo Outlaw on the roster still. Just because
- Rodfather
I want Cavs to win it all. I like Lebron
- Rodfather
Dwight Howard is a physical specimen. Dwight Howard is not a great basketball player. Yet. He's also not very bright based on one flight seated next to him. Not that bright is being kind I'm afraid.
- SteVe C
I hope someone tells him he's a tech away from suspension.
- Jed
weak ass technical. that was some bullshit
- Cee Bee
another bad call, let's see that's # 10
- Wayne Sutton
Varejao must have taught ben Wallace how to flop haah
- Rodfather
Orlando need to have a big lead if not the refs will give this game to clevand,
- Wayne Sutton
Agree with Rodfather, the refs have sucked really bad this post season and weren't any better in the regular season. It's a real problem. For all teams.
- SteVe C
Good defense Pietrus, needed you game two
- Wayne Sutton
I'm not sure LeBron could hit that shot again.
- Jed
Oh wait, there's an astronaut in the Angels broadcast booth, the geek in me must depart for a few minutes. :)
- SteVe C
They are tossing T's like it's nothing. Add the 7 T rule, the refs have too much control
- Rodfather
The weird part is how the league can overrule and remove technicals. But at the same time, they can't subtract the 1-point free throw.
- Jed
The way they are calling, D Howard is almost guaranteed to miss a game this series or the final if they make it. Fans don't want that
- Rodfather
If Shaq is half as arrogant as a broadcaster as he is as a player, I don't want to hear him
- Patrick Jordan
from BuddyFeed
Did we already talk about how that T was bull?
- Rah-PM 2012
I'm sorry but there's no excuse for a professional basketball player not to be able to make free throws other than being a lazy ass who doesn't like to practice them
- SteVe C
what killed me is the NBA giving a technical to Dahntay Jones for tripping Kobe last night after the game was over and then fining Phil Jackson for calling the refs inconsistent. How's that work out?
- Cee Bee
It'll be a great finish as long as the refs don't steal the spotlight.
- Jed
I wasn't going to stay up for this game but I'm hooked! yeah I hope the refs don't mess up ...AGAIN
- Wayne Sutton
Sounds like the refs got the memo. I haven't looked at the game yet. Just read this thread. Now I am gonna turn it on.
- Amani
Should do a FriendFeed ...you got what I need remix! lol
- Wayne Sutton
In unimportant news i returned to the basketball game after the Angels announcer asked the astronaut guest in the booth "what's it like to go to the bathroom in space." Facepalm. And now back to the game
- SteVe C
Even then the NBA might revoke the win... I'm sure they can do that.
- Jed
read bill simmons on innate offensive gifts... he specifically used Hakeem as an example of someone who had real post moves years earlier than dwight who still doesnt
- Daniel J. Pritchett
.. wow ... a little too muhc time for the Cavs .. I would defend against the three if I was Orlando. DO NOT DOUBLE OFF Lebron unless you are guard Varajeo or Iggy
- Amani
from IM
howard couldnt position well good def
- Yunus Tunak
If that was LeBron going for the lob... well.
- Jed
this officiating is so bad. Howard will foul out within the first 2 mins of overtime. Lebron will be living at the line. I mean, why watch this torture?
- Amani
from IM
WE ARE ALL WITNESSES...to the bullcrap --- yep
- Wayne Sutton
...seriously? Pietrus pulled James down. He -- Pietrus -- didn't argue it.
- .LAG liked that
NBA really givin the crabaliers every chance they can
- Cee Bee
pietrus in now way pulled Lebron down. lets get the youtube when it is out.
- Amani
from IM
lol Amani can I be your assistant coach? Clevand will have a new coach next year or in 2 years after they lose this series to Orlando and Lebron leaves for NYC
- Wayne Sutton
i like the 2-2-1-1-1 format for early rounds.
- Rodfather
Refresh my mind about the channels. I watched yesterday's game on ESPN. Is that because it's West. Conf. and I'm west coast? I hate watching TNTHD.
- Anika
hit the I-40 and turn the radio on. JAck Ramsey does a good job
- Amani
from IM
It was ugly...uglier than last night's game
- Bwana ☠
it was like a boxing match (is like one) ... team feeling each other out ... a few uppercuts and haymakers but they are both still standing.
- Amani
from IM
I just dont get how Kobe who was building houses, has thrown up 26 shots while Gasol and Bynum are shooting a combined 77% throw up 18 combined. It's really baffling
- JKidd5
I think this isn't good for the Lakers. They won 2 games by the skin of their teeth over two dumb inbound Denver plays & they got dominated here despite the ticky tack fouls from the refs
- Cee Bee
Playoff teams that went home are like - Why you didn't play like that against us?!?!
- Bwana ☠
