I made this for 9 people today. It was awesome. My modifications: I trimmed excess fat from the pork, so you probably want a bit more than 4 lbs of pork shoulder. The recipe calls for 2 large onions. I'd just do 1 or 1 1/2 OR increase the amount of tomatillos (maybe to 2 lbs?). As written it was a bit too oniony for us. We rescued it by adding most of a small can of salsa verde to the sauce (which was predominantly tomatillos). I served it over brown rice seasoned with a little boullion and offered sour cream to cut the heat (even though it wasn't too spicy, everyone loved it with sour cream). I also served a winter salad (pears, persimmons, salad greens and a pear vinaigrette) and good chocolate for dessert to keep it simple. I have so loved living up in the city, having these casual dinner parties with my friends. Hopefully people will come down to Mountain View so we can cook for them there! :)

At the risk of being political...even my mom who is a very religious person believes that women should have the right to determine things that affect their own bodies. I am very, very, very saddened to hear about this amendment.
