It would be great if twitpic (and maybe other) images could be viewed inside the app, instead of opening a browser. Maybe similar to how Tweetie does it?

"make it cheaper, and i might want it. i don't have a cell phone, and if i did and actually had sms enabled, i'd only use it for twitter anyways."

It should take you to a signup form :/ something's wrong if it didn't. Try later I guess?

"i have this set up on my macbook. it only listens to people it follows, which is me and only me, and i have both its stream and its twitpics set to private. there shouldn't be a security issue."

instead of having the 'in reply to...' link send you right back to twitter in a new window, how about having that link open the the replied-to tweet (or even whole conversation) inline under it. clicking the link again or a 'close' link would remove it when you're done, so no clutter. i'm thinking something similar to how TweetVisor does it.

"Twitter was inaccessible for several hours on Thursday morning, followed by a period of slowness and sporadic timeouts (and more outright downtime). The company is blaming an "ongoing" denial-of-service (DOS) attack but has not said anything further."

I'd be happy if it died forever. 140-char limits are the worst thing to happen to conversation in recorded human history

yet you were still able to express yourself within the constraints. 120 characters there, lanjackal

@LANjackal yet your comment was only 120 characters long. (JJ).

@Andrew @LANjackal No, I was just thinking thank god for FriendFeed. Although I do have a lot of friends that don't use FriendFeed that I would dearly miss. I suppose they would sign up if there was a Twitter Apocalypse .... I hope =)

"people retweet if you post something they find interesting. number of links or syllables or what you're eating while pressing the return key all have nothing at all to do with being retweeted."

"all celebrities should 'threaten' to stop. 50,000 people tweeting 'tink :D' or something just because some random famous guy can't think of anything interesting to say will be the downfall of twitter."

"i can't seem to get it to run. i keep getting this long 'Can't locate XML/XPath.pm in @INC' error when i try to run it in terminal to check it out. i'm apparently very bad at perl."
