I hope you don't forget to unforward at the end of the day! :) Also, ever looked into Google Voice?
- c.a.j.
I have google voicemail on the Verizon account. I don't mind calls off hours. I should tell people to just call my cell. The forward doesn't always work.

to be nice I'll just take a pic of the outside. inside is compost, worms, shredded paper, table scraps, worm doo doo. and other things. The worm tea needs to be diluted with water. Always wear gloves.

I bought my sofa and loveseat from Rooms To Go when I first moved to Gwinnett. They have held up very well. Then again I don't have three dogs. :) Haverty's is way over priced! When I moved into the condo I bought both my dining room suite and breakfast room group from Real Deals in Jefferson -- for less than I would have paid for a breakfast room set at Haverty's.

I don't know if you can or want to venture out but I had a great experience with Real Deals in Jefferson and friends have had good experiences at The Dump in Atlanta. Might be worth a trip.

I bought my living room from RTG and my sis almost all of her house. The quality is very good. Still my favorite couch ever.

Our bedroom set is RTG as is our loft. We are very happy. It has held up well. Good quality.

Thanks, all. Haverty's has an outlet in Macon that also has decent prices, but RTG had what looked like decent products.

I have furniture from both. Both sell quality furniture, Haverty's tends to be more upmarket and traditional while Rooms To Go is more middle market and often a bit more modern. Both have good delivery and customer service (you'll get more hands on care from Haverty's). I found you have to be somewhat selective at Rooms To Go to avoid ending up with a look that doesn't look like an 80s...

Haverty's outlet may be a great idea. Their quality is good but their retail prices are just too high compared to others with similar quality. I think you'd be pleased with anything from RTG. They do seem to have good quality and their service has always been good. Good luck!

I got my dining room hutch, armoire, and chest from Haverty's. I love them. Very good quality.

Clearly God is punishing us up here in da nort'. I can think of many possible reasons. I just wish I knew which one, so I could stop doing that particular thing. (Or maybe that's not how it's supposed to work?) #obligatoryweatherpost#recordedforfuturereference
I went for a five mile walk, and there was sleet and snow coming down the entire time. The kind that stings when it hits your face. I did a lot of mumbling under my breath for much of the time. Add one more thing to the list of why this may be happening.
- Jkram|ɯɐɹʞſ
Also, I tried to give a sense of how much blowing snow there is, but it doesn't really come across in still photos (duh.) Suffice it to say that all of those white flecks are swirling around and the 'foggy haze' in the distance is actually a maelstrom of snow.
- Jkram|ɯɐɹʞſ
I believe the snow was Mama Nature's way of telling you not to take a 5 mile walk.
- m9m, Crone of FriendFeed
Very possible, m9m. Particularly since the physical therapist tells me I shouldn't walk for exercise anymore. But seriously, when winter is working on month #6, biking isn't much of an option. Besides, I'd rather defer a heart attack by walking versus saving my hip and dying of cardiac arrest while I'm still studly. #oops#toolate

No worries, Stephen. Taken as intended. I would appreciate a boost in temps. They're forecasting more snow/rain mix and highs in the 30's and 40's for another week+, which is now about 20° below the average for mid-April. Ugh.

If you're a WordPress user make sure you don't have a username "admin" or "administrator" or something common like that. There's a big botnet doing bruteforce attacks against WP sites using common names and passwords. They are scanning ALL WP sites, even yours. YES YOU
All fiximimcated! For some reason our admin account was a guest account. Probably because we can't change usernames & I made a new one for me when we got all set up. We just deleted the damn thing.
- Jezmynne Dene
Laura, this is how I did it on my 3 installs: logged in as admin, created a second admin account, logged out, checked the new admin login, deleted the old admin account (I was prompted to attribute the posts authored by that admin account to another account and I chose the new admin account), logged out and checked that the blog had survived.

Good article. I concur with the author- I haven't replaced my PC since 2006 because it can still handle most anything I throw at it. I had to replace my laptop, though. I don't think a tablet will be able to take over the tasks I routinely carry out on my PC. Also, I don't do any heavy computing with my phone- I use it to browse the internet, text, call people, take photos, check email, use maps, etc. I couldn't imagine trying to use something like ArcGIS or Lightroom on a tablet or phone.
- Kelli H.
I've been using the same laptop since 2009 since it still fills my needs (mostly). And that's even with Windows Vista on it.

I know that they really still are packing in more and more transistors in smaller and smaller spaces, thus keeping Moore's Law alive, but we just don't see the same clock speed increases like we used to. Part of that is just scale. Now that we're measuring in GHz instead of MHz, increasing clock speeds look really paltry. And do people really understand that a 2.7 GHz Ivy Bridge CPU is...

So, is it better to eat wait +1hr then exercise or exercise then eat? I haven't had brekkie yet, should I go on my treadmill now after 2 coffees or eat, wait +1hr then go on it? Does it matter?
I used to eat before exercising, but now I eat after. Eating before, I was sluggish and had cramps depending on what I ate. Waiting for digestion made no sense to me either, since it just wasted time. Besides, after exercising was hungry again. Still, I don't think there's one blanket answer. We all have different metabolism and reactions to hunger.
- Anika
Thanks Anika, that makes loads of sense, if you eat, then exercise you're bound to get peckish, so better to eat afterwards, I don't really want to waste time eating/waiting either, so think I'll jump on it now.
- Halil
Before I go out on my bike I try to have a cereal bar and to drink some water. I also take a bottle out with me. Barry was very persuasive in the need to drink, drink, drink. Then I eat when I come back.
- Heleninstitches
I usually eat after exercising because I tend to eat less than if I eat, wait, and then exercise.
- imabonehead
I feel like crap if I run out of fuel during exercise, but if I had a late meal the day before I can go for many hours in the morning without eating.
- Eivind
From my experience it's good to "get your body going" in the morning before doing hard exercise. Could be just a glass of buttermilk mixed with vitamin juice etc., but not just coffee. When I recall the recommendations my dad got for his marathons, it's good to give your body something light and easy to burn for the way. But a full tummy sure is bad for training. And yes, of course. We're all different.
- esther
I never eat before my morning treadmill walk. I usually walk 30 min. Just water. EDIT. Also I only have about 6 ounces of coffee 30min before walking, just enough to wake up.

When I first started training I would have absolute crash moments. Little did I know it was the pre-diabetes. My trainer told me to have a small amount of protein prior to my workout. Either a piece of peanut butter toast or simply a glass of milk. You need to see how your body reacts to exercise.
- Janet:#TeamMonique
I didn't in the end, figured I should treadmill 1 day and rest the next and build myself up, rather than over exert myself.
- Halil
It's going to depend largely on what kind of exercise you're doing too. If you're just going to walk a little, don't bother worrying about when you eat. If you're going to be anything that gets your heart rate up, you really ought to have an energy-giving meal about 2 hours beforehand. This provides you with adequate protein and carbs but gives enough time for digestion to begin so that...

I'm trying to do a mini walk (around the block at a quick pace ~5-10 mins) 1 day before going on treadmill for ~10 mins and just walk 1 day. I haven't actually started to jog yet, trying to build up myself for that so I don't keel over having a heart attack in the middle of the street! Thanks for that advice though about a post protein snack.

I forget about my confirmation name. I've never used it. It's my wife's last name. Odd coincidence.
- Mike Nencetti

I picked my confirmation name because (1) it was St. Ignatius of Loyola's original Basque name and, going to a Jesuit high school, I was totally into the Spiritual Exercises (2) it was the name of my maternal great-grandfather who abandoned his family, leaving his wife to die and his kids orphans, my grandfather among them (OK, not really) (3) it's the name of my uncle who was confirmation sponsor, who was named after said great-grandfather (4) of my obsession with "The Princess Bride"

I think these monuments came about because McKinley's hagiographers were looking for something heroic about him to commemorate. He had a pretty active PR operation going, both before and after death.

If you're suddenly finding that more often than not the sweatshirts and t-shirts you buy (in your usual size) seem to 'run small'... well, it probably means the problem isn't with the shirts. I don't want it to be this, but I'm finding it to be all too common of an experience lately. I'm going to have to start trying on t-shirts before purchase!
I blame the fact that we're now entering our 7th month of this endless winter. My body is preparing me for hibernation on the assumption that we're going directly into another winter after this one.

I don't know...I have a heck of a time with women's clothes. I'll buy the same size from the same store(s) year to year, but one year an XL shirt falls off of me because it's so big, but the next year it's tight. It's really frustrating and I HATE having to use changing rooms to try things on.
- Russian Space Lizard
I have to see what country produced the garment. China cuts the chest too narrow and I need to size up two sizes. Vietnam also cuts chest narrow but only one size larger. Christopher Banks and similar stores cut too large everything and need to size down one or two sizes. Yep, with you on hating to try things on but you just have to!

I think you're on to something with your placing of blame. A perfect sphere is the ideal shape in cold weather.

Eivind, I like the way you think. Higlet... YOU BE QUIET! Fish and Janet, you're reinforcing my position on the problem, but your solutions fall short of my goal of complete laziness while shopping.
