@blogdiva I've always liked that phrase, "fellow travelers". :D Thanks for the #ff recommendation.

Posted via web from What's On My Mind. Dieters can't believe everything they read: The food at many popular chain restaurants and in the freezer section of the supermarket may contain a lot more calories than advertised.A U.S. study of 10 chain restaurants, including Wendy's and Ruby Tuesday, found that the number of calories in 29 meals ... - Leo Lincourt from Posterous
@factually You're getting negative feedback on Actually Speaking? It's a much needed breath of fresh air in the skeptic community.
@Riayn I like to say I'm just like Greg House, except fatter, and not as brilliant. I'm a lot nicer too.
@Riayn Hah! I have vicodin on hand because I have chronic pain from the bum leg I injured back near the start of the decade.
@Riayn I think strained the tendons in my one knee and hip and that's why it's taking so long. Having vicodin on hand though was a blessing
@Riayn Oh, I took a bad fall on Christmas Eve day. And I'm really much, much better, thanks for asking. It's just gonna take a while to heal

Posted via web from What's On My Mind. Yes, it certainly is. The reason for that is that most of it is "social grooming" – messages passed between friends and family members as a way of maintaining social cohesion. The meaning of the messages isn't "u look h4wt dude" or "wat up wiv you dawg?" That's merely the form. The meaning is: "I am ... - Leo Lincourt from Posterous
Well, I got the dishes done and took Nelson out. That's a start. But I'm hobbled and on pain meds so I have an excuse.
OK, enough Twitter for the evening. Now to cull the podcasts so I can que them up and get to cleaning.
@Riayn Haha. Your shepherd likes explosions too? My Nelson loves fireworks.
BTW: While I know it's not ostensibly about skepticism, WNYC's On The Media is one of the finest skeptical shows on the air and online.
@Riayn I just leave them playing for the dog to listen to when I go out. He's a total credophile and maybe he'll learn something.
For my skeptical tweeps: You're producing too many damn podcasts and they're all great! I don't have enough time to listen to them all.

Posted via web from What's On My Mind. I've been engaging in yet another round of trying to challenge the dopy sexism that is so common in internet discussion, as if someone had declared the internet a boys-only domain. This time the dopy sexism was in comments at Richard Dawkins's site, in a thread on that dreadful article by Nancy Grah ... - Leo Lincourt from Posterous
I love @RedScareBot. He makes me feel all cuddly and safe. Like Mikhail Gorbachev.

@retrothing @awelfle That's pretty near my coffee consumption in college. My roommate and I went through like 3-4 pots a day.
@awelfle Haha! Can I blame @WhirledKatie for the lack of Lemon Pepper seasoning too? :D
@awelfle I was really looking for Sleepy Time Tea but there wasn't any in stock.
@awelfle Plus I really like that herbal teas have zero calories.
@awelfle Otherwise, I'd prefer to have a mocha double-espresso but I can't handle caffeine after 2 or 3pm anymore. Keeps me up.
@awelfle @retrothing No, I don't think preferring tea over coffee is a sign of maturity. I think appreciating tea might be.
