Yep. This article provides more support for my opposition to the current design of the Albuquerque 'Event Center': http://abqfuture.com/ at 12,000 seats it would be the size of a minor-league venue, which makes the stadium too big. a 2000-3000 seat venue is probably all ABQ needs downtown.

New Mexico gubernatorial education debate is tonight, hosted by the Albuquerque public school district. We just pushed the information on the streaming coverage to the homepage: http://www.aps.edu [ETA: Streaming is now live, watch it here: http://www.aps.edu/2010-de... ]
Debates start at 6pm. I'm monitoring from my more-reliable internet connection at home, rather than relying on the school Wi-Fi.

"SANTA FE (KRQE) - A group of students, preservation historians and a concert promoter are crying foul because the 50-year-old Paolo Soleri Amphitheater in Santa Fe is set to close and be demolished."

This is *really* unfortunate. Soleri is one of architecture's great thinkers. This might be a minor project, but it is well worth preserving.

"[T]he rest of Santa Fe now offers groovy contemporary art spaces, hot Asian restaurants and a park by a pair of trailblazing architects. Accept that Santa Fe isn’t just tacos and turquoise anymore, and you’ll find yourself loving the New Mexico capital not for what it was, but what it is."

Education by backward design: What is one primary skill you think already is or soon will be required to succeed in the next 40 years - 2050? A cognitive skill, other? Name a resource, if you like one, that addresses this topic? I would like to gather and share some ideas on the this topic....
Perhaps I should have phrased this as 'DO ANYBODY NO'. ;-)

Bump, because I'd really like to know, but I'm not going to buy a copy of the magazine to find out (though I think I'm going to subscribe).
- Michael R. Bernstein
OK, I subscribed (less than a buck an issue is a decent deal). However, I suspect we won't get the current (May) issue, so I'd still like to know what the answer is. Anyone?
