"I like the Slice idea ... you could use that concept for anything that could easily scale: e.g. data storage, CPUs, etc. Make the cradle/dock have the ability to increase/decrease it's diameter to accommodate more/less slices and they might be onto something - especially if you could easily hotswap extra CPUs to other machines ... I also like the "Pebbles" idea ... make them a decent capacity with built-in Bluetooth/Firewire and you'd have a unique, personal, portable storage media that you didn't have to remove from your pocket to transfer data to your computer ...
