ComScore's latest figures for the e-mail market show Yahoo added almost 20 million users last year, growing its share of the market by 22 percent from 87.2 million users to 106.2 million users in June. Only Gmail grew faster--a 46-percent clip--but just 36.9 million people are currently using Gmail. Microsoft's Hotmail is the second-most widely used e-mail with 47.1 million users, up 3 percent from last year.

Simon certainly knows his way around the online marketing space. I've enjoyed reading his stumbles and would recommend him as a responsible news source to anyone interested in the topic.

Look at the SERP CTR from the AOL data. The number one position receives just over 42% of all clicks. Where this gets really interesting though is when you look at what can happen if you own most of the real estate on a good SERP. The top four results put together account for over two thirds of all clicks that will happen (68.69% in total). The top ten taken as a whole will give nearly nine tenths! (Actual total figure - 89.69%).

Dreamhost's answer to Zed's rant about RoR. I agree with them both that deployment is a problem. However our mod_proxy, Mongrel cluster setup has worked great so far (fingers crossed).

Very funny new adverts for Durex Toys + review of the new marketing direction. Makes sense for them to go into this market and I think they have the brand to carry it off.
