"Ok, been reading for a little bit but I have to finally de-lurk and chime in: Yeah, I'm totally with you. But the way I see it is everyone can be a "could have been" -- because I have the firm belief that love is built, not found, and it's done together. The "finding" part is the kickstarter, though. And lordy, if you find out how to get that to run please let us know because some of us readers (*ahem*) could use the advice."

"EPIC. Also, listing "needs" and "wants" reminds me of The Cribs because of the name of their album. Actually, before I launch into paragraphs, I'm going to stop myself now and save it for an email or my own blog post on this subject. Openness is something I am trying to explore and this post totally gives me new ideas."

"Man, I love this post. Reminds me of the one thing I believe while all else is fallible: I believe in the power of art. The art of conversation, art of the written word, the paint on canvas, the song sung, the movement of bodies. And to your point, the way I remember you, is a man whose words were written as a call to action. And that's why I keep coming back."

"To add geometry to the spirituality of this post, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. That is the principle I use for thinking about what I say. Also, thank you for adding satya to my vocabulary. :)"

"You know, most of the people I know from Jersey are teachers who live in suburbs, so at least I'm not perceiving that stereotype. Also AWESOME use of space and focus in that 2nd photo!"

"We've been going through a food truck renaissance lately! Especially in terms of Asian+Mexican fusion. Having been raised to think trucks served only tacos, I could never have been prepared for this. And @freeandflawed: I'll take you to one, but you have to be able to stay up late...!"

"Mostly I'm following these stories along for the philosophical implications but maybe I should start paying attention more to the prospect of physical improvements. But like all things that need to be taught, I need a good teacher. Advice?"

"This has got to be the the most in-depth discussion of drunkenness I've read in years. Ah, to be young. And no hangover? What the hell? I want that. You must have superpowers."

"One of my best musician friends has a fantastic way of thinking about music instruments -- he tells you how to make certain noises, but he explains the mechanics behind how the soundwaves are formed with literal science assisted by analogies. This way, you understand the musical instrument on a more "essence" level than simply a "function" level. And then he taught me how to make electronic music. Mind = blown. Never really had a cheerleader as a teacher before, though. I wonder: if I taught you how to play the drums, how you'd teach that to someone else?"

"Mostly, I'm stoked that my heart revolution image is starting to spread. :) Also, good call on using the appropriate article to designate what is a nico ("a")."

"I have to live my professional life in public. There is soooo much missing from my blog from my day-to-day life. I have to blog by a certain code of conduct. I don't have the freedom that an anon-blogger has. Blogging, for me, is fun because it's a challenge. But, I suppose, there are artful ways of establishing mystery. So I say this because I wonder: who am I in public? And who am I in private? Thought-provoking post, for sure. Totally a keeper, and I'm Delicious'ing this."
