With Twitter down, I see this as where the conversation is headed: Friendfeed, rooms, shared feeds. - Nils Geylen
twitter seems down only for some of us, and it is still bigger than FF and 'easier' on non-techies. - oliver gassner via twhirl
@oliverg True, I consider myself hyperconnected and still have issues with FF. But if Twitter won't get it right soon... - Nils Geylen
Nils, since I have been on Friendfeed, my Twitter usage has drastically dropped to the point where I hardly use it anymore. The down time certainly has not helped. - Mike Fruchter
Ditto to the 100th power Mike - Marco
I've been looking for workarounds to some of FFs less interesting features. "Hide items like this" sure helps for Adium status updates etc. - Nils Geylen
Nils, Very interesting take on the experiment so far. It has given me some food for thought. On your blog you mention my negatives about comments being exported from G Reader into the room. That to me is a positive, the problem is notes pulled from G Reader are showing me as the person who left the comment, rather then the person who noted it and shared it. This bug could have some serious consequences. - Mike Fruchter
I still find the 140 char limit on twitter liberating. When I can type as much as I want on FF sometimes I panic. - Nate Koechley
Kenichi Matsumoto - I get this error when trying to add your feed. The given URL does not appear to be a Google Reader shared items URL - Mike Fruchter
Nick, Yuvi, Mike & Sarah, feeds added. Thanks! - Mike Fruchter
Kenichi, disregard that message. I grabbed the url off your feed. Thanks - Mike Fruchter
I thank you, Mike! I could have subscribed to some valuable shared feeds out of the room :) - Kenichi Matsumoto
Just wondering - do you add everyone, or is there a "bar" you have to be over? - Yuvi
Yuvi for this experiment, any Freindfeeder with a Google Reader shared account can participate. - Mike Fruchter
Andy, Jason, Erin, Thanks for participating. Feeds have been added. - Mike Fruchter
The only problem I see with this experiment is that for readers of the group like me, the amount of data is too big... It would be great to have a room with the links who had two or more likes from this one (for instance) - or better, friendfeed should let me choose "I want to see only entries that someone liked, or at least x people liked"... - Marcos Marado
Marcos thanks for the feedback. I should have an updated post of week 2 of the experiment, the pluses and negatives. Filtering is the next stage. - Mike Fruchter
I'll be waiting then :-) - Marcos Marado

If I had a TV show like this in my country, I'd be done talking soon. Great show of tech being used in government. - Nils Geylen
I followed @johnculberson for a while (he represents a district nearby to mine). Too much complaining about "the other team," in this case, the Democrats. It would have been much more interesting to hear about what he does and what's going on without whinging about "the other team" -- D or R. Annoying. Unfollow. Next. (But, good on him for trying.) - Kirk Kittell
Culberson was my favorite interview today. More later after I decompress. - Robert Scoble
Maybe I'll give him a second shot. He seemed like a good guy -- just the R vs D thing is a non-starter (or in this case: an ender) for me - Kirk Kittell
Culberson is very down to earth, friendly and funny! highly likeable - great interview.. - Susan Beebe

Great writeup about Toluu. Points out that it is un-intrusive, which is a great compliment in my mind. I hate pushy services. - Caleb Elston
Caleb - Messed with Toluu (finally) a little last night. VERY interesting. Me, a late adopter?? :) - Charlie Anzman
Any invitation left? alex.sauceda(at)gmail.com - Alex Sauceda
@Alex - Sent - Snay Trivedi
@Snay - Thanks a lot!! =) - Alex Sauceda
Charlie: Toluu is just a very very young service! please feel free to send some invites to friends :) - Caleb Elston
Thanks Caleb. It's it simplicity, value and unintrusiveness I like the most. - Nils Geylen

Hi5 experience so far: highly unagreeable. I've just sent everyone in my address book an invite... not really what I wanted. Why on earth Hi5? - Nils Geylen via Alert Thingy
I've cancelled my account per immediately btw - Nils Geylen via Alert Thingy
If potential Seesmic users are on Hi5, why shouldn't Loic be there? ;) - sebmos
hi5 = Porn - Adrian via twhirl
@sebmos true, but we're already on Twitter/Friendfeed. Hi5 is spam after all... - Nils Geylen

Here's my question (that I don't know the answer to): what happens when I comment (in FF) on a comment (from Disqus) that regarded a post (on Blogger)? How many degrees of separation is too many? - Carter Rabasa
I'm neutral on mobile Friend Feed as I'm not a mobile user, but I can see the logic in putting as much Friend Feed capability as possible into mobile format - Mark Dykeman

"We are in the middle of a disruptive change in the media landscape brought on by two-way interactive media. No longer do we simply rely on the New York Times for national news, Dow Jones or Bloomberg for business news, Ziff Davis for technology information, or Entertainment Tonight for the comings and goings in Hollywood. Instead, or in addition, we go to Huffington Post for politics, Seeking Alpha for stock news, TechCrunch for technology news, and PerezHilton for the latest in celebrity gossip." - Paul Buchheit
Paul: I totally agree. I also just switched from TechMeme to FriendFeed for my home pages. - Robert Scoble
