I'm all for improving the format of notifications, but wonder (aloud) if it is such a smart move to include the Approve/Reject link right at the top (unless it only appears in private feeds to which someone has requested access). Right now we have the option of blocking/ rejecting a subscriber at any time but presumably not at the very outset. This may lead to more of a walled gardens' mentality, already very prevalent at FF.

Gmail automatically showed me the images in a subscription email, even though I never told it to (you know how gmail has the 'display images below' option). further, it doesn't give me the option to hide the images. not that I'd want to, but how are you bypassing gmail's security feature to hide the images?

Chris, we don't do anything special. I'm not sure how gmail decides what images to show, you'd have to contact them or check the gmail help.

Chris, the "show images" only applies to external images hosted on other sites. Gmail doesn't show those by default because doing so would allow people to "bug" email. We include the images with the email so that they can be displayed immediately.

Heh Robert. Talking about Central Europe. I'm British but have been through Slovakia, Hungary, Poland etc and in this part of Europe there are zero iPhones/iPads and basically no Apple. But every 15 year old kid in all these countries has an android phone. Apple dont exist in the new Europe. Which is surprising. I had to get a Samsung as I couldnt get an Apple. I don't even mark or fold pages in books I own. I can't imagine how rude it would be to do this to someone else's books.

I make tiny notes in pencil in books that I intend to own for the rest of my life. Sometimes I make corrections. I never underline. Highlighter tends to make me stabby. I *never* did that to textbooks. If someone wants to do that, then don't resell them as used textbooks. It's so distracting! Ugh. But yes, specifically inking up *someone else's* books, or books that we all have to share, like at the library, that calls for serious punishment.

I'm reading someone else's books right now and the dogears bother me. People who use pen on other people's books should have pen used on them! I'll go get my Sharpies. :)

Robie la ricetta che abbiamo usato l'ho trovata qui: http://www.ricetteamericane.com/2008... Unica cosa: abbiamo aggiunto più farina perché altrimenti l'impasto risultava troppo liquido. E occhio al forno: la ricetta dice mezz'ora ma dopo quindici minuti erano già perfettamente cotti (forse anche leggermente troppo).
