I agree with the argument here . In our own lives we have seen that the so called population explosion has never really happened as the doomsayers predicted.In India poverty has remained but has not resulted in a situation of social unrest in a big way.People have learned to cope with the scarcity of resources and have also embraced change quickly enough .One clear example of how quickly people can adapt themselves to new technologies is the way the mobile phone has become a ubiquitous presence in the impoverished streets and back-alleys becoming an important productivity tool used by the common man in their daily lives. - jagannath rao
