It took Kutiman just two months to finish ThruYOU, the project that would make him both a musical pioneer and an Internet celebrity. Kutiman — a.k.a. Ophir Kutiel, an Israeli musician — took...

It's fascinating to watch the credited videos. Kutiman must have spent lots of time trying to get just the right words/notes/video.

"Israeli producer Kutiman has become an overnight internet sensation by mixing an album entirely from samples of YouTube videos. The online album Thru You (thru-you.com) has become so successful that (at time of writing) the site hosting it is down due to "overwhelming traffic". But don't worry, The List have gathered together all 7 tracks in one place for you to watch, listen and enjoy." --- really fabulous stuff.

coldbrew: see my corporate blogger's manifesto. I linked to it from my blog post.
- Robert Scoble
Yea, you can keep that, and any other rule set that you've created. Not interested. I will brake that set and never look back.
- coldbrew
"I’m working on that and hope it’s in shape so we can announce something at the SXSW conference." - Does this mean that you're going after all?
- Tamar Weinberg
As I said at TC - We're all rooting for you whatever comes next. And as Reid said, our bootstraps are all knotted together... let's get our best game on RFN! NOW can you manage a layover in Tulsa? After all... Austin's practically next door! :)
- Gerald Buckley
Weinberg, he used plain English. What is it that you do not comprehend?
- coldbrew
coldbrew, instead of being a smartass, perhaps you should know that I asked before and he said he wasn't. I also heard rumors that he wasn't, so hence me being direct about it.
- Tamar Weinberg
Tamar: that is a change, by the way, from three weeks ago. Sorry for the confusion.
- Robert Scoble
Robert, glad to hear. Excited to see you and hear your news. :)
- Tamar Weinberg
No need to apologize, Robert. The only person who should be apologizing is coldbrew.
- Tamar Weinberg
Weinberg, instead of being an uptight boob, you should know that life is short, and the you should relax and take it easy. If you could not glean that he is now attending SXSW, I am without the ability to clarify without making fun of you.
- coldbrew
Apologizing? Because you can't comprehend English?
- coldbrew
"don’t write if your life is in turmoil." that's indeed very good advice. You were already so wise back then. :)
- Meryn Stol
coldbrew: "we"' could represent an entity and may not necessarily include Robert. So yes, I am justified in asking a legitimate question. Again, instead of being a smartass, let me ask Robert the question, and do me a favor - don't get involved.
- Tamar Weinberg
Please block me if you cannot deal with my pointing out that you asked a stupid question. Do not act like FF is your domain to have a private conversation, that is for email. And, if you are that uptight you probably need a break anyway. I meant no harm, and you blew this way out of proportion.
- coldbrew
"There is no such thing as a stupid question." Clearly, you are just above us all. In any event, this isn't the place to hijack Robert's thread, and my question was not intended to do that either. I have no idea why you considered it your place to do so, but hey, the rest of the world will be the judge of who is the stupid one. Have a nice day.
- Tamar Weinberg
Sorry, Scoble. I was shooting for levity (as one might at 4am when they are still at the office). My girlfriend says I'm turning 12 this year :)
- coldbrew
Well, good luck Robert! You are responsible for getting me to FF...Tks for all.
- Mauricio Fonseca
You know, there is an astonishing amount of ass-kissing and stupidity among various folks in this space. I'm sorry for calling it out, but I truly look forward to meeting many of you people b/c, in person, one cannot hide this crap.
- coldbrew
Coldbrew, with regard to "meeting people in person", have you noticed you're the only one not posting under your real name?
- Meryn Stol
Stol, will you be at SXSW? I think I'm now heading down there and that would be cool.
- coldbrew
Mohomed, ask my references... But if you really in doubt, I think I can manage to provide some id. I don't think that anyone doubts that Robert's name is Robert though.
- Meryn Stol
Coldbrew, no, I live in The Netherlands, and I don't like flying. (plus this would be really expensive of course).
- Meryn Stol
I respect you, Stol. I just don't believe in taking privacy lightly. I know this will present some problems for me, and I can handle it. It is quite obvious that using an alias scares people here that can't fathom the idea.
- coldbrew
Good luck, Robert. Looking forward to hearing about the next step of the journey.
- Tom Guarriello
Wow, first you stopped drinking diet pepsi, now a career move. You sure know how to live on the edge! Looking forward to hearing your newest ideas!
- tracy
good luck Mr Scoble, may you choose wisely :)
- chaz2b
Good luck to you, my friend. I'm sure where ever the journey takes you, it will be a fun ride.
- Warner Crocker
Best wishes, Robert. I suspect these changes will open very profitable doors for you.

- Jordan Hofker
good luck robert - as usual love your ability to attract and help us all filter out trolls here on ff, it is much appreciated - you should consider monetizing that somehow ;)
- mike "glemak" dunn
Robert, good luck. Hope to see you writing again soon. (I have met Robert in real-life coldbrew, is it ok to write a comment now?....)
- Alexander van Elsas
Looking forward to seeing what you do next. I am sure you will keep us all posted.

Good luck! Does it mean you are NOT coming to visit Israel any time soon?
- Niv
Best of luck Robert. Whatever is ahead for you is bound to be exciting.
- Ginger Kenney
Hope your new venture is half the work (more family and self time), twice the pay, and offers the same great level of thoughts and content that we're all accustomed too.
- Patrick Jordan
is friendfeed hiring any marketing people yet? ;-) break a leg, dude.
- Karim
On to the next adventure--I like the speaking tour idea in another thread.
- Betsy Devine
Robert, I have in my own world, lived your first 2 sentences when I lost my job. It is indeed hard to do that and I haven't met anyone yet who can breeze through it. I so agree with not letting the "cat"-harsis out of the bag when that happens. Well done.
- Melanie Reed
Robert - I am very excited for what lies ahead for you! You can write your own ticket, so this will be fun. Personally, I think you should be the CMO for Friendfeed You already evangelize the heck out of it and you clearly understand the value of it! :) Cheers!! Wishing you all the best!!!!!
- Susan Beebe
Robert - you will make an exciting transformation and we will benefit from your experience. My best to you and yours during this exciting yet challenging life moment.
- ka3drr
Robert, you and your family are in my prayers for blessings

Noah, surprising you say that, I believe he was a member of the group D-ream in the 80s. Though, I'll check that fact in a bit.
- Kol Tregaskes
Nicola, yes he's great. A down-to-earth scientist. Makes very high-level science very easy to understand. You can see how Cillian Murphy's character in Sunshine was based on Brian. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Love that film though memory doesn't serve re that character, must watch again soon :)
- Nicola Quinn
It's my favourite film ever atm. Love it! :-)

Project Implicit, a virtual laboratory maintained by Harvard, the University of Washington and the University of Virginia, has administered hundreds of thousands of online tests designed to detect hidden racial biases. In tests taken from 2000 to 2006, they found that three-quarters of whites have an implicit pro-white/anti- black bias. (Blacks showed racial biases, too, but unlike whites, they split about evenly between pro-black and pro-white. And, blacks were the most likely of all races to exhibit no bias at all.) In addition, a 2006 study by Harvard researchers published in the journal Psychological Science used these tests to show how this implicit bias is present in white children as young as 6 years old, and how it stays constant into adulthood. I am biased towards blacks and latinos. The women are great lovers! So does that make me a racist, because I like making love to Black, Latinos and Asian women? There is nothing wrong with having different races. That is what makes us interesting vs. a monolithic society.
- Igor The Troll יִצְחָק
Igor biased towards blacks and latino Men? otherwise i see a contradiction in your sexual preferences for women of color...Yes diversity does make for a interesting garden of life. not biased against Arabs? pause
- bcultral
No, I am not biased towards Black and Latino men. It does not matter to me what is your race as an individual. I am just talking about sexual preferences. I met some good Arab people so I do not have prejudice against them. But there are some Islamic radicals.
- Igor The Troll יִצְחָק
I'm not sure how scientific that is. example. I might get really turned on by something, but because of social taboos might not express it. most of us are semi bisexual and not as racist as you might think... but we don't express those thoughts publicly. straight, prefer white women... but might have thought otherwise before. taboos might create a fetish in some. a lot of people think...

- Noah David Simon
these concepts of the oppressed being more open minded are total bullshit. the sexuality that oppressed people feel towards their oppressors are an anger fetish mostly. What is more real is people prefer what is familiar. not the opposite. for a person who is around black people, but is white. it would be normal to be attracted. but if unfamiliar... attraction might be a sign of hate....

- Noah David Simon
much of what has come out of the so called "scientific" community is a total contradiction. the belief that being gay is inherited as a gene and yet they are not likely to admit a woman's behavior natural and prefer to blame that on culture. it is time to put away the Alist Blue State Social Networking Blocks and open our minds to a more true reflection of ourselves. we might be more...

- Noah David Simon
these days psychoanalytic communities would classify this as old school Fruedian. I think it is time we took another look at Freud. His truths aren't 100% correct... but they reflect a more real analysis on ourselves. the mistake he made was in diagnosing these fetishes as sickness. they just might be natural states in all of us and our reactions to fetish might just be a matter of degree
- Noah David Simon
final example would be the Democratic primaries... where our understanding of race was turned on it's head. Iowa was a lot less racist then Pennsylvania! explain that? the oppressed are not open minded. I can tell you as a Jew that the biggest racist threat to me comes from the black and minority community. explain that. I don't even believe in gay and straight, but believe more in objectified and objectifiers. I'm certain that those division breaks are easier to classify
- Noah David Simon
perhaps in the so called post racial America it is important to note the distinction between preference and bigotry. this does not mean I advocate social libertarian precedent. I don't. but I do advocate getting beyond the labels of racial and sexual difference and realize how complex they are... and only make our contracts reflect architectural realities on the ground.

Bruce: don't worry. You should see the "best of" of this twitter list. Let's just say that it isn't as good as my other list which you are on.
- Robert Scoble
I feel like a shareholder whose stock has been diluted:-)
- Francine Hardaway
Francine - he just commented that we have preferred stock. :-)
- Bruce Lewis
lol @ Francine... seriously, huh? I finally get on FF, have very few people distracting Scoble here (relatively), and now poof! gone. lol...
- Lou
I still like my original "Aggregate" feed I have before I followed all following me and imported from Twitter. Those are on their own lists. The best of the day on that list is very good.
- Louis Gray
Great, I was already on information overload. You are not helping! hehe
- James Schipper
Bruce, hehe nice post there. And yeah, The Scobleizer's got a crap-ton on his plate. Always has. Personally, I have NO CLUE how you stay online as much as you do, Robert. lol..
- Lou
FriendFeed import from Twitter is a nice feature for sure ... but making FriendFeed 'useful' with all these new people is challenging. I think the key is being really good at filtering and using the FriendFeed tool to show you want you want to see from all the ppl you are following.
- frank barry
I didn't follow any of the people I could have imported. None of them were active on the site.
- Mathew™ one of a kind
I just want to comment to say I acknowledge the "here's why" and "more here" comments on 95% of Robert's FF messages. That is all.
- Tamar Weinberg
FriendFeed gets it! I asked them last November to add the Twitter import function, they responded with a polite email saying it was a great idea and they would look into it. That could have easily been their standard request reply, but they actually did it. Kudos to them.
- Gail Guy
Love the FriendFeed - Twitter thing. Lot so good stuff using FF.
- John Flynn
technically it is posting to friendfeed which posts to twitter
- Bankwatch
what do you mean? how do friendfeed post to twitter then?
- Niv
Yeah, if you post to Friendfeed it posts to twitter if you set it up in your user settings. They seem to have added more settings recently unless I missed them all.
