Obama advisor calls for the invasion of Israel

Apparently this is what Biden meant about an Obama administration being "different" when it came to Israel. - Charles LePage

kind of cute in a NAZI POIG kind of way. might explain why Dave Winer hates Israel so much as well. We have a tendency to root for those that hate us. - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
Dave Winer hates Israel because the Israelies are not accepting him. Israelies are not easy people to get along with. It is about trust! - Igor The Troll

They believe they can't lose, no matter what is said or revealed. The McCain campaign is "faltering" and any criticism of Obama is "racism." And it's only going to get worse. - Charles LePage
Don't believe the polls. Telephone polling doesn't work anymore for a number of reasons. The unprecedented qualities of this election are breaking the model. My hunch is that McCain is up at least eight points. - Rob Sterling
I hope McCain wins. Obama and his people will not know what to do if they win! - Igor The Troll
@Igor "his people" huh? You really live up to your name don't you? :) - Mattb4rd
Mattb4rd I am not Crazy about McCain and his Bush policies but I did not call you names. But you did! Do you want people calling others names runing USA? I do not think so! I do not! - Igor The Troll
the problem is, the violence will never end between Israel and Palestine simply because each side constantly provokes the other. Palestinian forces attacking Israel in the only way they can after Israeli forces bulldoze yet another settlement out of existance. Both sides need to reach an agreement to allow Palestine to exist and to stop the IDF from taking more and more land while Palestine needs to accept that Israel has a right to exist. It's not a cut n dry problem. - alphaxion
Yes a very complecated problem that has America in the middle east for over 50 years now! - Igor The Troll
Igor, I referred to the name you have given yourself "Igor The Troll". Who's calling you names? - Mattb4rd
Interesting... - Michael Forian
Troll in my name is Sarcastic! If you want me to Troll you, I can oblige! ;-) Send me an email and I will quote you my Trolling fees, paid in advance of course! - Igor The Troll
(1) America does not control Israel. get that right. Israel has it's own military that acts autonomously. (2) there is a Palestine... they renamed it Jordan it is 80% of the Palestine territory. (3) the fact that this woman is stupid enough to think US troops can tell Israel what to do is ludicrous. American foreign policy has not always been on lockstep with Israel... the reason is because Israeli defenses are fully capable of being autonomous in a war with any state. This includes America - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
the fact that Israel is friendly with America is because it chooses to like Great Britain, Australia or Poland. this woman lacks basic common knowledge and it is a sad testament to the lack of common sense coming from Obama's camp. Invading Israel would include going up against a first rate airforce. It would mean more casualties in America then the tiny state of Israel. It also would probably be a nuclear holocaust on both ends. - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
forget the saber rattling for a second... and just think. no matter where you stand on the issue there are certain truths here. and this woman just doesn't have a clue. she is high as a kite. she is against the occupation of Iraq, but has no problem occupying Israel. She doesn't even make sense in her own paradigm. - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
the tiny state of Israel could easily go underground in a situation like this. But America's Urban hubs would be sitting targets. A nuclear arsenal from Israel could easily go remote... any country that attacks Israel would be dealing with nuclear guerrilla warfare. I don't even know why it is worth theorizing this... but I'm sure the pentagon already has. - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ

The site, which has more than its share of broken links, naturally has nothing "Jewish" about it, as to these people the only purpose of Judaism is to use it to gain legitimacy in their joining the masses of anti-semites in their quest to destroy Jewish self-determination. Just like the Neturei Karta, only without the black hats. So you will not find reference to anything Jewish at all on this site; nor will you find anyone who also wants to fight for human rights in the Arab world (for Jews or anyone else.) Although they will pretend to have a vague sort of "spirituality." It used to be called the "International Jewish Solidarity Network" but apparently that was too generic for these wackos, plus it is easier to pronounce IJAN than IJSN or IJAZN. But the funniest part of this organization is the new niche in Jewish Israel-bashing that it attempts: it pretends to be fighting for the rights of Mizrachi Jews (from Arab countries) in Israel! - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ

““So Biden is against same sex marriage? He is basically for it from what I could tell when he talked about civil rights but just couldn't come out and say it directly. It is a shame.””
Friday at 8:11 am - Link
Neither campaign has been particularly brave on this issue. McCain is like Bush though: Privately blind to sexuality, but publicly beating the homophobic drums for the base. - Rick Powell
I believe the dem platform is that they're for the acknowledgment of same-sex couples to enter into any contract together while leaving the definition of 'what is marriage' to religious institutions since a marriage is a religious event outside the concept of a civil, contractual union. The rep platform specifically asks for a constitutional amendment banning 'gay marriage'. - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
@Stupid Blogger that does make a lot of sense! - orionstarr
Can we, perhaps, say that both candidates are not opposed to same-sex civil unions and leave the word "marriage" out of the discussion? - Mark VandenBerg
Given that Palin didn't even say the words gay, lesbian, or homosexual during that part of the debate, I'm not comfortable saying "she's not opposed to same-sex civil unions". - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
Mark, we could, if we were willing to countenance a "separate but equal" policy. - Rick Powell
Saying McCain does not oppose same-sex civil unions is a stretch. he punts on the issue, leaving it to the states but affirming that he believes marriage is between a man and a woman. Obama punts on the issue of marriage but supports "separate but equal" civil unions. They are both contradictory positions, IMO, but I'm still voting for Obama. - Rick Powell
I'll agree both candidates are scared to really take on this issue. I just figured it's the 21st century and I can't believe this is still an argument. - orionstarr
Palin kept using the word "choice" and "choose" in that area. I don't know if she truly understands. - JoEllen
every time she said choice, i thought of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... - Chris "Iceman" Hollander
I agree with orionstarr. Too hot of a potato, so to speak. I just threw this out there to promote a little discussion. In Netherlands, from where I hail, the government does not recognize a church ceremony as a contract. You first go to the court for a civil union, and then, if you like, have a wedding after. Perhaps that's the way we need to go? - Mark VandenBerg
Mark, though I think it can vary by state that is essentially what happens in the US. You get a marriage license through your municipality whether you have a ceremony or not (for instance, I had no ceremony). However, it's that word 'marriage' that people get all huffy about... - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
I am unhappy with their lack of support for same sex marriage. The definition is critically important for tax, medical, educational and professional reasons. Gays and Lesbians aren't fighting over semantics, they're fighting for genuine equality under the law. - mel maverick mcbride
He's not against same sex marriages...he's against defining their legal status with that name. He thinks that however people form a union, they should all have the same rights...I'm down with that...so what if the government doesn't formally call it a marriage? - Alex "Maverick" Scoble
"Marriage" is a religious construct/ceremony and should be stricken from all legislation. A Civil union is something recognized by the state. I don't understand why the parties can't just say this. Church and state are supposed to be separate, no? - ωαřмaiden
@ωαřмaiden Right on! - orionstarr
Making *everyone* get civil unions is 'undermining the institution of traditional marriage'.... Because obviously your love for your spouse is determined by the words used to described your union, right? - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
@Scoble-lite & @warmaiden Exactly! @Tina So we simply license the Priests/Rabbis/Gurus/Mystics to act as an agent for the government to perform a "civil union contractual agreement" and they combine it in to the wedding. - Mark VandenBerg
Mark, I was being just a wee bit sarcastic there, and was doing so because I guarantee you that's the argument the fundamentalists will use. - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
Sorry, my Sarcasometer is in for calibration... and I am still looking for my car keys from last night. Have yet to check the microwave and the pool filter... - Mark VandenBerg
Pretty much all politicians are against same sex marriage. - Mathew Ballard
I'm w/ Warmaiden. - Ayşe E.
Matthew, not true. Other than Clinton all the other Dem candidates are pro-gay marriage. Which is perhaps part of the reason why they didn't make the cut. - Rick Powell
I think it's sad that Democrats don't support gay marriage. It's completely political in nature and shows a real weak spine IMO. - AJ Kohn
I support inter species marriage and I think it is time that both parties support my right to marry my dog.... that said I think Biden would of been blocked by most of you... no? - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
the Homosexual marriage is a third rail. No one will come out completely and say it should be allowed and that people that have a issue with it are nuts. - Christopher Welle
It would be political suicide for either side to say they support gay "marriage"...there are too many radical religious types that would be up in arms... - Amber Horner
woof! Biden got blocked - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
So, he's for same-sex rights, but not for gay marriage. Same-sex couples would have all the rights that married or common-law heterosexual couples have, except for the symbolic rite of marriage. Boy, that's a very thin line. But, as Fey as Palin said, marriage is a sacred union between unwilling teenagers. - Bonnie Dean
Bonnie, I loved that line. - Christopher Welle
remember when Clinton's first major act in office was to try to eliminate the "don't ask don't tell" policy? Remember what a political disaster that was? This is way worse. It's a no-win issue for both candidates. They're both looking for the safe corner. - Nathan Rein
Nathan Rein... you got it wrong. Clinton didn't try to eliminate it. Clinton created it. geeez! get it right. "Don't Ask Don't Tell" was Bill's solution. Before that legislation it was illegal to be gay at all in the military... and after seeing Abu Gharaib I think the old way was better. do what you want in your house... but when in the frontline please no. Do what you want on your own property, but don't demand special tax privileges for it. Tax breaks r4 those forced n2 pregnancy issue - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
okay, let me rephrase. Clinton's first major act in office was to try to eliminate the prohibition of gays in the military. The rest of what I said still applies. Better? - Nathan Rein
wow, I just looked a little more closely at your comment. So you're saying both that (1) Abu Ghraib was caused by gay soldiers, AND that (2) only married people who have children should be entitled to distinctive tax status? Two doozies. Nice. - Nathan Rein
"Don't ask Don't Tell".... yeah you got it wrong Chief. not better... you never * really * admitted your error... just got smug. and Abu Ghraib wasn't exactly meat and potato straight behavior. an awful lot of stuff going on there that might of made Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson blush... I don't think naked men forced into sexual acts is exactly ma and pop Cleaver there. but hey to each his own... just keep it out of the uniforms. ok Chief? - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
I never * really * admitted my error? Okay, Chief, I admit it. I rephrased it. It's right now, isn't it, Chief? And so you're saying Lynndie England and Charles Graner are actually gay men because what they were doing wasn't meat and potato ma and pop Cleaver stuff? Is that it, Chief? That's your idea of evidence? Got it, Chief. - Nathan Rein
I didn't see a lot of hetero stuff going on... my man. the pics had a female dominatrix... but frankly the money shots were all Arab bareback... Leave it to Beaver I always say... but hey Chief. Do what you want... just leave Abdul out of your marriage plans cuz his ass is still sore. - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ

http://xrl.us/Sodomy yeah you would turn it into a personal attack and move out of the dialog, because you are uncomfortable with the truth I am unearthing for you... you know I'm getting to something RAW and you don't like it. Probably because your another stiff that doesn't think about this shit &doesn't need to ,but people do study this stuff & they write books. when you are talking about organized violence and homosexuality; well that is marriage that goes way back. Listen SPARKY...Gay marriages? historically the earliest gay relationships were among Pirates and mercenary soldiers... what do you think the military is *REALLY* afraid of? ...hmmmm CHIEF? Abner Louima loves the plunger you sent him for Christmas. power and gay fetish... nice combo. put your head in the sand. easier for the police to sodomize you that way. http://xrl.us/asskick - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
What "dialog" are you talking about? What "truth"? I see a lot of unsubstantiated claims that I can only explain as being fueled by sexual anxieties. Gay people don't frighten me, and I've never seen one shred of evidence for the allegations you're making. At first I thought you were kidding, but now you really do seem crazy to me. You're posting little animated pictures and describing these scenarios that make no sense -- plungers? Abner Louima? Pirates? Okay, Sparky. If that's your idea of raw... - Nathan Rein
Sparky... anyone who asks to objectify a social philosophy has their heads up their asses. Moment I create a study that claims some bullshit truth, some idiot like Anna Freud that would of been better at PR then psychology will attempt to build an institution out of it. Not my shtick. you might start with Michael Foucault, but I wouldn't try to hold a yard stick to his theories. Best to take in what you see like an artist and let the elite laugh at you. one more http://xrl.us/asskick to show my <3 - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
you lost me, dude. I have no idea what that last one even means. You drew those yourself, huh? Anyhow, have fun with those fantasies. - Nathan Rein
Regardless of who becomes President, I predict Don't Ask Don't Tell is history. There are just too many military types lined up against it, and those opposed make themselves out to be loony. Elaine Donnelly, like similar right-wing nutballs, has basically turned out to be a gift to the other side. For which we should thank god, I guess. ;-) - Rick Powell

Power also advocates that America send armed military forces, "a mammoth protection force" and an "external intervention", to impose a settlement between Israel and the Palestinians. This directly contradicts her criticism of the invasion and "occupation" of Iraq and her call for the removal of American forces from that nation. On the one hand, Power abhors American efforts to remake an Arab nation, but takes the contrary view when it comes to inserting American forces in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in order to impose a settlement. - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ

How can the elitists expect the general population to be experts in such complex issue?... (not even people who study this for a lifetime really know) the fact is that abortion is an issue raised not to bring people to a higher conscious, but rather to create tyranny and hatred. The signs are telling. Asking people to have values does not infringe on church state divisions. In an age where Cartersian Mind/Body issues are up to questioning it seems rather obscene to be against someone who questions at what point consciousness begins and end... and yet this is exactly what the pro abortion community has done. - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
I don't know anyone who is "pro-abortion." But I know a lot of people who are "anti-choice". - Nine (pedestrian wolf)
and which human gets the choice? a disproportionate number of minorities are victims of this upper class agenda. it is in fact ethnic cleansing. while I was at the pro choice rally in 1992 in Washington DC, since that point it has come to my awareness that we need to do everything in our power to make it unacceptable to have abortions in our community. It is a dark moral error. After 8 years of G W Bush no changes in Roe V Wade have been made... why would anyone expect a moderate like McCain to change the supreme court? The reality is that this issue is moot as far as the present election. It is frustrating that rich snobs think they can silence poor people with the abortion issue. The single largest sign of an elitist agenda is the discrimination that the feminists have done towards people that don't agree with them. On social networks they attempt to block... in political parties they attempt to placate the issue when there are more immediate survival issues at hand. - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
I absolutely and utterly will not support any candidate that would like to take away a woman's right to decide what to do with her body. You can be anti-abortion and still pro-choice. No total stranger who knows nothing of me or my life can make decisions for me. And the idea that a woman would say that another woman couldn't have an abortion in cases of rape, incest, or when the pregnancy puts the adult at risk absolutely sickens me. THAT is inhumane. - Nine (pedestrian wolf)
