I used a variant of this lipgloss recipe for a christmas present. found bee's wax in the craft shop in the merrion centre in leeds and used a rapeseed/olive oil mix. added the oil to the wax before microwaving to speed up heating effect on the solid. - Ben Dalton

this is the recipe I used in the end for home-making playdoh as part of a christmas present (a cranium/rapidough rip off). I was going to use a cooking method, but adding hot water and the higher amount of cream of tartar seemed to do the trick almost instantly. the resulting dough did have a few tiny lumps in, I might try adding some cold water to the flour first to make a roué, and then adding the hot. - Ben Dalton
