"Getting back to the CoC, looking back on it the issues are rather plainly stated in the doc it self : Code of Conduct At YAPC we do not tolerate harassment or illegal activities of any kind. We respect each other's differences, tastes, and beliefs. Because of this mutual respect, our code of conduct is quite simple: 1. We expect all conference attendees to treat each other with respect. 2. If a crime has been committed, call the Police. 3. If someone is harassing you, ask them politely to stop. 4. If they don't stop, report them to one of the YAPC staff; they are wearing black "YAPC Staff" shirts. Effectively this reads, 1) we hope everyone's nice, but in the event that some one isn't 2) not our problem, don't talk to us 3) because your on your own 4) though if for some reason you've tried every every other possible means and the issue is still not resolved, I guess you could ask for help."

"thanks for standing up and calling out the issues. I have effectively withdrawn from the perl community because it has become more abrasive and unwelcoming to me due to simular situations. my response has to silently withdraw thus leaving the issues unresolved and unchecked."
