Whenever life gets hard, I just remember, "At least I'm not the US President" and I feel better. Always puts things in perspective :)
I seem to have a flu. I'm going to be offline for the rest of the weekend, recovering.

@VenessaMiemis Sometimes it lags. I'll check.
@micronauta Oh definitely I do that. I'm very choosy about following. But still, there are a lot of people out there I respect.
Who has time to scroll through all these columns of Tweetdeck tweets? Seriously, there just is no good tool that I know of.
Ok I have a confession. I cannot figure out a good way to track what my friends are tweeting. Tweets go by too fast. I miss 99% of them.
There's just gotta be a killer app out there for tracking the real-time Web. I haven't seen it yet. Real-time search is not the answer.
@CraigThomler Of course then we would be auto-RT'ing each other ... #EndOfCivilization
@carlmalamud Well you are a better friend than I am. It's so many extra steps to do that.
I really am beginning to wonder if anyone has enough time to keep up with the Real-Time Web. At least if they have a life or a real job.
@carlmalamud I just feel like I'm neglecting my friends because I don't see their tweets and don't have time to RT them.
How about a Twitter agent that helps you maintain friends. It randomly RT's your friends' tweets every day. That would be good.
@MatthiasSchwenk The new Twitter list feature may be the solution, but I use TweetDeck and don't know if it's supported in Tweetdeck yet?
I think the Real-Time Web is actually the Less Time Web. We are all going to have less time, but more to keep up with.
Rare hemorrhagic fever strikes a US soldier in Afghanistan http://www.washingtontimes.com/news...
Perhaps a filter column in Tweetdeck that could filter tweets by their RT score. That would actually be quite useful....
I use Tweetdeck. Even with it, I still cannot keep track of my friends' tweets. Tweetdeck only shows 4 or 5 tweets per column w/o scrolling.
@CraigThomler Maybe just retweet tweets that are popular. Kind of like a neural net would. If a friend makes a popular tweet auto-RT it.
I follow almost 200 people. If they all tweet many times a day that is perhaps 1000 tweets to keep up with, per day. Not posisble.
I think a ticker that showed me all day what my friends are tweeting ambiently in the background might be good.

I have logged far too many hours listening to Freeconferencecall.com's theme song on hold. They need to change it.
