On twitter, when random people follow me, I don't follow back. On FriendFeed, I will always follow back everyone who follows me and look over their content (but I do use categories, so I don't always see all of their content every day). Twitter gives me no tools to categorize, so I just don't want to follow people I don't know there.
Hey man, we're talking about you ;) If Kevin Fox asked you stuff about TiVo and special treatment, inside scoop, etc...*ahem* it's really just for HIM, not for anyone ELSE. Just sayin'

I have the same problem, ever since I started publishing friendfeed to twitter, I get all these random people following me (the irony is I found this page through a google search for 'random people following me on twitter') :-)

Stephen, yep I always follow back and check the user's feed on FF, unless it looks like a suspicious account but I rarely see them.
