Bill. I'm not sure he says that BMI is a perfect metric, he says that it is serves as a good measure of a healthy weight in a population. Is that wrong ? And...... which other things in this article are wrong....it all sounded reasonable to me. - Nils Reinton
Sorry for the delayed response, Nils. BMI just trips my switch -- like any population measure it is meaningless at best and more often harmful if applied to individuals. Maybe I skimmed too fast but the article seemed to buy into the use of BMI at the individual level. The whole thing smacked of someone able to do a superficial reading and summary of a bunch of reviews but without the background to read papers deeply and get beyond the surface claims. - Bill Hooker
