Well, it certainly was very Joss-like! Loved Nathan's song :) And Felicia you were great. And I've loved the whole thing. But, well, you know....sometimes I don't want Joss to remind me that life is harsh and we're all dust. Just sayin' - WorldofHiglet
Ok, for those who reading this here... THIS MAY BE A LITTLE SPOILERISH ........ That was cruel. I'm a Joss-fan, so I should be used to this, but, it was really, really, really cruel. But congratz on not dropping any clues about the end on all those interviews Felicia! ... and yeah, GREAT job as always! 10 minute standing ovation on ComicCon just may have turned into 1 hour standing ovation... or at least until people's hands are able to applaud. - Dani Figueiredo
And I love you, and Nathan, and Neil... but I'm really not a fan of the Whedon brothers and Maurissa right now. It will pass, and by tomorrow I'll love them again. But right now, I hate them. I really do. *ok, off to watch it again, more crying ahead...* - Dani Figueiredo
Great Job!! To avoid the spoil I'll say it was jaw dropping. - Jack
what a sad, sad, sad ending! :( Great show tho! :) - Alexis Lozano
This was great, Felicia. I can only hope that a high-quality, high-buzz example like this helps to kick off the (IMO inevitable) discovery that it IS possible to make, share, and yet get a return on Net media. (this model not being the only one...let 1000 flowers bloom!) I think Dr. Horrible's "Master Plan" says it well, and I both agree and wish all of you the best. - Ken Kennedy
Such a sad ending, but I enjoyed it greatly! Amazing performances alround. I hope there shall be sequals! - Robert Kloosterhuis via twhirl
I'll get in SO MUCH trouble if I watch this before my wife gets back! (Don't know which if us is the bigger fan...) - Travis Seitler
Perhaps that's why I like FriendFeed so much: it reminds me of those great, early days when NNTP was the center of the web and HTTP was just a gleam in CERN's eye. - Akiva Moskovitz
Or "which email address of yours should I send this to?" - Barak Begleiter
Akiva, I think you are onto something there. Someone once told me, you can never get a PhD if you read usenet. I am starting to think the same applies with social media. - Rob Diana
Some of us still bemoan The Long September. - Ernie Oporto
Barak, or people drunk-buying goofy domains and attaching a catch-all forwarder there for a five-minute throw-away joke. A year later when the renewal notice comes up, they're confused. - Akiva Moskovitz
Ernie, indeed we do. I'd give up the <center> tag and all that followed it to get back to those days. - Akiva Moskovitz
This sounds like my grandfather talking about the good ole days... sorry, too much bloody good in today's internet compared to fidonet days :P - Michael W. May via twhirl
One day folks, you'll all be dead. And I'll be doing this "longing for way back then" thing :P - Yuvi
The internet started going downhill when the <blink> tag was introduced. - Jason Carreira
No, now it is what is your Twitter id, or better what is your FF id? LOL - Igor The Troll
No. The Internet went downhill when they released the AOHellers. - Cyndy
Um, yeah. The internet was much better without Wikipedia, blogging, news sites, online video, The Onion, mp3s, the IMDb, webcomics, instant messaging, and social networks. Much better when all you could do was post to Usenet and read instructions for building a Macquarium. - Brent Newhall
Lol wut? The internet is millions of times more amazing now than it ever has been. There may be a higher percentage of idiots now, but that shouldn't stop you from appreciating how nice we have it. - Tad Donaghe
In other words, when did the internet jump the shark? - Jason Kaneshiro
I don't know about you all, but the internet is constantly getting better for me. I use it more now than I ever did before. And that's *because* everyone else is on it. I swear, I would not trade in this for the days of the blink tag. - felix
Notice I wrote 'Much of the Internet' and not 'The Internet'. Also, considering the chronological context of the statement, you can't really say that things that hadn't been invented yet could go downhill. Those things started going downhill at much later dates. - Akiva Moskovitz
Ah, those were the days. Creating a geocities webpage with midi files and blinking gifs and chatting on ICQ with a dial-up connection. - Trish Robinson
I think the best days of internet were the ones when only a handful scientists could reach it, and it was not polluted with content. C'mon, get real. If the amount of content grows, then the useless 80% grows bigger too. 80% of the internet always was useless. It's just now it means a couple million sites, and not 800. - Roland Hesz
Gotta agree with Brent - while I definitely miss the old days in many ways, overall I am thrilled that it has so permeated global culture and connected so many minds. It's certainly increased the shit level but all in all it's made the world a better place by making the recently-impossible possible. - Anthony Citrano
I don't give out my phone number, only my email :) - Mona N
agree with Mona and thinks the internet is the best thing invented it makes accessing things much easier then it was when everything was in tomes the size of a small house especially since i used large print - Cecil Sandus

I didn't know there were still lines though. The guy in front of me is going to stay in line even though he's on a corporate discount. Apple says he has to go to an AT&T store but he's adamant about staying. - Bwana McCall via fftogo
This is one of the worst sign up processes ever - super FAIL - Tony
it's been 4-5 hours all week at all *3* apple stores here in NYC. And now they're all out of black 16G's. Sigh. One day I'll upgrade. - felix
Bwana, tell him to dial 611, explain the situation and have him remove the fan number from his account. Then he'll be good to go and he can reactivate after he has the phone. - Doug Brooks
I am really wondering if I will be able to get one around August 1st like I had wanted to. With the lines and supply seeming as they are... I might just have a wait a bit longer it looks like. - Dean Clark
Good album. I like all the songs as well. - Joel Gray via twhirl
I kinda didn't listen to it for many a year - recently dug up the disc and rip'd it. Makes me need to look through the CD binder and remember what else I've been missing. :) - felix
That whole album is excellent. The only song I don't like is Head like a Hole. - Bjorn Tipling
Mark - act 3 on saturday!! (I think that may mean tonight at midnight). Ken - don't worry, especially during the summer, you aren't missing anything. Mike - huh, thanks for the pointer, gonna check it out. :) - felix
Act 3 should be coming out at midnight tonight. I'm loving it so far. My fiancee, being a huge Joss Whedon fan has already recorded the songs and is trying to write down the lyrics to memorize them. - James Ferguson
James... just to save your fiancee some time. :) http://imaekgaemz.com/?page_id... I was curious about Freeze Ray but too lazy to do the work myself and found this. :) Can't get the damn song out of my head. - felix
It's fun. I really liked the beginning of Part 1, when it was an actual video journal by Dr. Horrible. Hope we get back to that at some point. - Lon Harris via twhirl
I think it's fun. Cheesy at times, but doogie done good. - daniel morgan
Thomas, it's an arbitrary cap set by felix for performance purposes, probably. It was set at 300, and he raised it. I'm sure he'll raise it again if you ask nicely :) - Mark Trapp
There's a hole in the API so it can't do everything it needs with the api key - David Knight
Thomas, just saw this - I upped the cap, but it's possible if you have so many contacts the connection could time out pulling the data, let me know if it works for you. :) and Adewale, DKnight got it right, unfortunately the API doesn't provide the data I need so I'm actually screen scraping this data which means I need to actually pretend to be you. I promise I don't store your password, but it's always a risk. - felix
thanks felix. Will try it again now. Fantastic app! - Thomas Hawk
I don't think that there is a "hole" in the API. The friendfeed founders have been pretty explicit about not wanting friendfeed to turn into popularity contests like facebook, where people try to get as many "friends" (or followers or whatever) as possible. - Robert Felty
From the late adopter department: Just tried it. Incredible. Period. Especially for managing large groups. Found a bunch of people (easily and quickly) that I would want to be following back and weren't.. Great stuff Felix !!!! ... and ... thanks for the reminder Thomas :) - Charlie Anzman
How would you use email? We don't have email addresses listed on our profiles... - Lindsay Donaghe
Yeah, I'd like a SIMPLE profile. Maybe a sentence or two about each user and where we're FF'ing from, along with an email address. - Tad Donaghe
Yes, or even a public one - like a thread on the profile page, there's definitely been times I'd like to have just said something to someone - not about any particular topic. - felix
We at least need profiles with clickable messaging or email links. - Chris Baskind
You've got DM if you use the MojiPage FriendFeed XMPP bot. If B is subscribed to A on FriendFeed, and both are using the bot, then A can say "/d B message" to have the bot send a dm to B. - Wil
+1 for some kind of email link. On the other hand: if someone wants to send me an email, he or she won't have any difficulties finding out my address. - benedikt
It would be nice to have a short profile. I don't want another inbox though. - Jason Wehmhoener
I think a short profile with an email link is the best solution. Email is where I talk to people asynchronously, IM where I do it synchronously and FF where I throw flags and smoke signals for public consumption. - Alexander Williams via NoiseRiver
i like that idea. would it be too much like turning it into a message board? i think it could be done, why not? - Cee Bee
An email link would suffice. DM would probably bloat up the system, and take up unnecessary FF resources which could be put to better use.. - Winston Teo
This makes me pretty disgusted. I wouldn't put up with it at all. I'd probably try to embarrass any guy who exposed himself by just laughing at it, and if someone groped me, he'd be on the ground so fast he wouldn't know what happened. - Lindsay Donaghe via Bookmarklet
The sad thing is that you'd probably be arrested and thrown in jail for anything like that. Another good reason we'll never be travelling to Egypt. - Tad Donaghe
The whole "it's the women's fault" thing is insulting too. The lack of personal responsibility for their actions is offensive. No one "made" you disrespect women. What a screwed up culture. - Lindsay Donaghe
The "it's the women's fault" thing runs rampant in India too, Lindsay. I'd say that while the numbers aren't as bad here, the attitude, unfortunately, is :( - Yuvi
Well, societies that shun 50% of their population shouldn't wonder so much why they're behind the rest of the world. May the best meme win in the long run. - Tad Donaghe
awesome utility felix. this is a great way to find people that are subscribed to me but I haven't subscribed to them. Also useful for pruning people that I subscribe to but don't subscribe to me... why have one way communication/sharing, right? - Alan Le
Thomas, man! I've raised the limit by a bunch so hopefully it will work for you now... it's possible, though, that it may be getting to the point where the connection may time out. Please let me know if it works for you. :) And thanks again guys, I'm glad people are finding it useful or interesting! - felix
Yeah, strictly speaking in terms relative to sharing stuff on FriendFeed, I don't like Pandora's "bookmarking" compared to Last.fm's ability to Love a song. - Paul Reynolds
in pandora you can also thumbs up a song which informs the algorithm to come up w/ a better select of offered up songs, but what you're referring to is so that others see your level of like/love? - mike "glemak" dunn
Right, I want to share the love :) Within reasonable limits, of course. - Paul Reynolds
this is the song that made me love mos def. - felix
@felix: The entire Black Star album is what got me into him. Excellent actor/entertainer as well. - Paul Reynolds
http://www.joedawsons.com/feed... I have a lot of images of my family adventures which get uploaded so I wouldn't subscribe if you don't want that fed into GReader! - Joe Dawson
This is my going to bed mark so I know where to start adding feeds in the morning. keep em coming, and anyone reading this, feel free to add as many people as you like - Duncan Riley
