The kernel was designed to run in part of a 1MB system. Honestly I've never looked to see how much memory it uses on an Intel Mac, but I will start looking now. What kind of tasks do you have the OPML Editor running? - Dave Winer

Sorry I looked again, itself is using 1GB, it's the Virtual Memory for it, right after loading for me it's Real Memory is 46MB. I've configured mine to do everything that it comes with out of box. Twitter, PhotoFan screensaver. I really only use the Screen saver, so I just load the OPML a few times a month to reup new pix. :) But here is the issue I have, when I open a different outline, then try to open, the app hangs, eventually opens the open dialog, once closed you get the App unexpected Quit dialog. - rob friedman

I used this when it was in Radio, or maybe before it was called Radio. My memory is fuzzy. It was a great idea but I had trouble selling it to the rest of my team. I was able to get three or four people excited for about a week and a couple held on for a month but the value of the Instant Outliner comes when the whole team is using it. - Tommy Williams

I don't really want it pushed to its limits, I just want people to use it, patiently and thoughfully. It's not about the software it's about the people and since its groupware, you gotta have a project. Right now we don't have one so that's not good. That's why it will expire. I gotta go one step at a time. I've been through this before. Can't rush it, if I do it won't work and all the effort will be wasted. The last three launches didn't work because people got all hyped and didn;t know what to do. - Dave Winer
