"Of the four teams left in the NBA playoffs, the Memphis Grizzlies boast the richest roster of lefties—a factor that's largely regarded as irrelevant in sports outside of baseball. Associated Press Mike Conley But Frank Lawler, an Oklahoma physician who has studied the issue, believes it's nothing to be ignored. He thinks left handedness may help explain Memphis's deeper-than-expected run in the playoffs. "It may be their secret weapon," he said."

I accepted a full time position at work earlier this week. No more contract work for me (I hope.) It means less money salary-wise but it will be nice having benefits again. Hopefully we'll be able to drop Wifey's health insurance and save some money that way. It's expensive and not all that great to boot. Hooray for stability!
As expected their initial offer was lowball city. I came back with an over the moon counter offer expecting them to come back offering the median rate for the pay scale my job falls under. An old boss told me companies are loath to bring a new hire in for higher than the median. Their initial offer was well below the median. As expected they came back with the median and not wanting to push my luck I accepted. Official start date is the 20th.

The company is expanding like crazy (good looking out Affordable Care Act) so there is lots of opportunity for personal/professional growth within the organization. My boss has big plans for me and the rest of our team. Exciting times.

We're opening a new office in Washington D.C. I was there to help get things off the ground. There's a possibility I may have to go back next week. We'll be opening 20 additional offices by the end of next year so I'm sure this is only the first of many trips.

We're back in St. Louis for Mother's Day. Wifey took her Mom to the spa for the morning so I'm flying solo. I'm at St. Louis Bread Company for breakfast. As I was sitting down to eat this cute little boy walked up and said "Happy Mother's Day!" to me. It was so sweet and heart felt.
The lady walking with him, who I assumed was his grandma, whispered as the boy walked off that he was an abandoned child and that his mother was on dope. This seemed like a massive amount of TMI but I just smiled and said he's really sweet. She nodded and said please pray for his mother. I told her I would and she walked away.

Have a great time, and love to Kesha. Wish I weren't on deadline this weekend! I'd try to engineer a ffeedup.

Probably should go to bed now. The Grizz smite the Clippers hours ago and I've ready all of the post game recaps I can. NBATV refuses to show any highlights from the game now that the post game is over. Good night! Great time to be a Grizzlies fan.
Memphis Grizzlies the first team in NBA history to go down 0 - 2 in a series and win the next 4 games by double digits. Bet that won't happen very often going forward.
"An exhaustive study of NFL hiring practices for head coaches confirms what has been widely known about the historical disparity in opportunities for minorities when compared to white counterparts but also reveals a significant pattern for what happens to a disproportionate number of minorities after losing NFL head coaching jobs: Typically, they don't land as NFL coordinators, and none has ever gone on to become a head coach at the major college level."

Huge win for the Grizz tonight. Laid the smack down on the Floppers. Gotta close it out in the Grindhouse on Friday. #GRIZZNATION#GOGrizz
