Taking PPC to the Next Level: Discover hidden campaign performance data in Google Analytics | Pay Per Click Insider Tips - http://ppcsummit.com/newslet...
I start to understand Franglish! (French English) - like "i'd like to use analytics but it's not an option when I'm identified" - means monsier logs in to his google account but cannot see a link to google analytics there.

- Olga Safonova
- earlyadopter

Modified Morville's UX model - with strategic (context) and tactical (execution) axes added. User experience is not (only) about usability, information architecture or visual design as we traditionally see it. User experience only happens when great design is executed in the right way and for the right reason. Because user experience will not happen, until the design is in fact used by a user.

'the-best-student-in-elementary-school'-complex - when you cannot accept due credits and instead of just thanking start making excuses that you're nothing special and you did nothing special and all the great stuff happened on its own and not because of you
getting 'iconized' by teachers and classmates made you feel necessity to prove that you're just a normal person. just a normal child. and nothing special.
- Olga Safonova
At the same time you become accustomed to working "for the grade". You then carry this quality through life and bring it to work, where it annoys the shit our of your coworkers, because it's more important for you to please the system—and get a good grade—than to understand the problem and do the job well.
- Alex Bourt
Speaking about elementary school, I do believe that children are not to blame for this. Parents and teachers are responsible at this age. I don't even believe children understand or feel any necessity to prove something, they just do what they are told. Problems occur in adulthood and to overcome those obstacles you need to be very self-critical and sincere with yourself, I think.
- Roman Karimov
@Alex it makes it even more complicated when you try to set up a certain standards for yourself (yeah, an equivalent to a grade) which might be too high or unnecessary or even harmful for your overall performance and which no one shares
- Olga Safonova
@Roman sure - but teachers/parents do influence the children, that is when the entire class is being constantly told that this guy or girl is very smart, they kindda start to believe it. and kindda start to 'alienate' the smart one or worship him/her (which is even worse). while the smart one does not want to be alienated or worshiped and responds by crying out to the peers - "hey, i'm just like you, no better!"
- Olga Safonova
@Olga yes, you've probably been exposed to those not willing to be worshiped or admired. But I've seen those who were very pleased and flattered by the attention, they got used to it so strongly, that when faced with the above mentioned problems, they desperately wanted to bring everything back. I mean, they rushed and made every mistake, which they could have avoided, to be the best...

- Roman Karimov
@Roman this complex is really multifaceted, didn't think of that side. similar cause, but different other impacting variables (personal attitude to being admired).
- Olga Safonova
@Olga On the other hand, someone who is trying to understate they 'specialty' by telling that they are normal and not deserve any attention, may be considered as a selfish person, I think. It's like yeah thanks but I'm not perfect, while thinking the opposite. Did I make myself clear?
- Roman Karimov
@Roman yeah, the denial of one's 'specialty' and 'talent' in an exaggerated manner can also be annoying
