@leolaporte and I both agreed that the new iPhone battery life is going to be a big deal. But, then, I can drain a Nokia in about 30 minutes

its going to be worse for sure, its not easy powering 3G+Wifi+GPS transceivers and drive a 3.5" multi-touch display, but they are claiming +50 hours standby time.

3G iPhone needs a single screen to turn on/off services such as 3G, WiFi, GPS, etc. Too many places to go to change them for power management. Maybe even some preset combinations.

my at&t tilt is dead by 1p every day w/o wifi activated - just bt and 3g. i have to keep it plugged in when i'm at the office, home, or the car. battery tech has to catch up.

@Seth That doesn't seem normal to me. I don't always charge my Mogul every day, and we get by. Of course, I'm on Sprint, and I haven't tried to find out lately if Rev A is in my area. If I have a bunch of reminders going, it will occasionally kill itself on the second day. I do have to admit I'm a weird one; it's possible I didn't actually buy the phone so I could make phone calls.

how many n95 batteries do you carry? I have 2. It's the first phone I've had to buy batteries for - like a camera. Then again, it's much more than a phone - that's a secondary function (at best) for me.

I thought that Kevin Roses false claim, before the iPhone was even announced, that it would have two batteries was brilliant. One for the phone, the other for everything else. Wonder if that would ever be adopted.

"So far my top 5 I have to try. 1. Pandora - nice UI for a mobile Pandora which i love 2. Birdy - Slick app for the golfer in me (even calculates distances to the hole) 3. Stage Hand - Control Keynote on the computer and even lets you highlight the screen with a finger point on the phone 4. Omni Focus - Killer GTD app 5. Shazam - You hold the phone to a speaker and let it listen to a song. It will identify the song and tag it. It seams that it will also link to itunes for purchase. I am little skeptical if it functions well though."
