"etm is an acronym for Event and Task Manager. It provides a format for using simple text files to store event, task and action information, a command line interface for viewing tasks and events in a variety of convenient ways and a curses-based GUI for creating and modifying events and tasks as well as viewing them. Alarms are supported for events and repetition for both events and tasks in a powerful and flexible manner." note: has commands for GTD mode - Joelle Nebbe (iphigenie) from Bookmarklet
have you checked out the windows event log RSS feed creation app? I wish OSX would do that, have system events as an RSS feed and have it automatically added to mail.app maybe even mix it with ical so you have a list view of events and also a calendar view to see what chain of events occurred. Would be awesome for diagnosis. - alphaxion
Error log in ical and rss? I like that! I do remember seeing a converter for server logs on the linux front a while back... can't remember where - Joelle Nebbe (iphigenie)
http://www.rassoc.com/gregr... for windows machines. But yeah, I'd love for an app maker to find a way of importing the RSS feed of an event log into a calendar. You'd be able to see all your servers and which ones fell over on which calendar days - would improve at a glance discovery of regular events. Maybe even have server side apps build in the RSS feed internally, so any problems it detects could be picked up automatically - alphaxion
I had that when using zabbix - although that worked on polling and monitoring. There was also a tool that did that by processing all logs, something starting with an L, very handy - Joelle Nebbe (iphigenie)
