This reminds me of the index in PRIMOS user manuals. The entry for "circular reference" is "see recursion". The entry for "recursion" is "see circular reference". (PRIMOS is the operating system used on Prime Computers in 70's and early 80's)

We just added a "Best of day" link at the bottom of the page. The best part is that it works for friend lists too, so you can have a "Best of day from family", etc. Thanks to Matt Cutts for the suggestion (http://friendfeed.com/mattcut...)

The bottom of FriendFeed's page should have a "Best of day" link. That way people who scroll to the bottom of the page would be offered something new to do to stay on FriendFeed instead of leaving.

Why not just click on Older Items, and then you can see he same items you just saw (i.e. whatever items now have numbers 31-60) in a different order?

j1m, at least the way I do FF is scan the page to see what's going on now, then scan the best of day if I want to read more. I had never clicked on Older Items until you mentioned it, and have to say I probably won't again. But if you had a "best of day" link at the bottom of the page, I would stay on FF longer.

@Jesse: It's a dead twitter command "track keyword" sends you realtime updates whenever the word is used. Think of it like realtime google alerts for friendfeed.

Twitter's brought back track, it's just no one cares. You can now have updates by keyword on Twitter pushed to you, via XMPP, just like track used to. Gillmor says that's not track.

You're right Jesse - it's not exactly Track but it's getting a lot closer. The old Twitter Track allowed you to set up multiple search terms (e.g. track iphone) and get those delivered to your IM with zero time lag. At any time you could type "track" to see what you're currently tracking and "untrack" to untrack something - e.g. "untrack iphone". There are some third party tools that...

Highly addictive--great stuff! I did notice that if you do a search like [google] you'll see dupe stories streaming by quite a bit (e.g. the TechCrunch story about Google Voice shows up over and over right now). Not sure if it's possible to de-dupe based on destination url a little bit more?

Chrome on Mac slightly edges out Safari Beta on Sunspider test and on the V8 benchmark beats every other browser by a long margin. http://www.manu-j.com/blog... For a young javascript engine V8 is performing absolutely fantastic!

Why away from Chrome? Just go to Setting>Options and change the default search engine to Live Search. Live Search = Bing... Now all Chrome initiated searches will use Bing.
