Thanks Vincent and everyone. As you can see we're all pretty excited and happy about the news. Love the whole "Uncle Robert" thing. :-p - Robert Sanzalone

Yeah!! Congratulations Robert that is terrific!! :) very happy for you!! - Susan Beebe
hehe, ok... there were other vids where girls were doing the same thing. It sounded like "nookie, nookie" to me but I have a dirty mind and figured it was something more innocent. :) - Lindsay Donaghe
Inspired by Michael amazing J. Cohen's thread (linked at the top). I'm going to let you guys choose... btw, I'm still keeping pixelbits. It's sentimental, to me :) - Mona N.
Dunno yet. Softbank estimated it should be around ¥10,000 - give or take the calls. It'll be about ¥3,000 more /mo than my Docomo bill was. - Robert Sanzalone

Russia invaded Georgia and it maybe war? - sam sethi
Ah. Was thinking a little more on the personal/local level but yes, that's NOT good news. Thanks for the heads up Sam ;-) - Robert Sanzalone

True. They could have. But their conclusion in the show was that the whole thing was so horrible, it might be better that they were the victims rather than the aggressor. It was very interesting. - Robert Sanzalone
I've never heard that! What channel/program? Was it on Japanese TV? - Stephen Shores

Major Japanese network. It's always a discussion this time of year (Hiroshima). - Robert Sanzalone
Robert, do you understand Japanese? ...btw, it's nice to see you active in FF! - Mona N.
Hey Mona! Ya, I've been offline this past month as I've integrated the iPhone into my life. Still adjusting but so far has been great (notwithstanding the casual strange word entered).
Yes, I understand enough to follow along though my wife helps me with the finer translations. - Robert Sanzalone
That's awesome. Japanese is one of the hardest languages to learn.. and I am Japanese. It helps your wife speaks - best way to learn! :) I can't believe the iPhone is really in Japan.. haha. It seems surreal... btw, fftogo is my favorite mobile FF app (web based). =) Hope to see you around, more! - Mona N.
@mona do you find you like fftogo better than the iphone-ified FF? - Scott Jarkoff
Scott: Indeed, for me. fftogo: 1. recently rolled out thumbnails of images 2. enables editing/deletion of comments, friendfeed/iphone does not... but the one advantage is friendfeed/iphone = posting images from phone to feed. Hope that helps :) - Mona N.
@mona thanks for the good info. Gonna give fftogo a shot for a few days to see if I like it better than living in ff. I like the idea of being able to edit comments. Especially since I always seem to screw up my comments somehow! - Scott Jarkoff

I've definitely noticed many slowdowns and oddities with this version of the OS. At times, typing gets sluggish to the point where I can type 10 letters and their displaying on-screen is delayed. Loading up the Contacts app is sluggish too. Lots of little things. You have not noticed any problems whatsoever? - Scott Jarkoff
Now that you mention it... yes, the same problems with Contacts but I thought it was because I have over 3,000 entries. That sluggishness on certain apps at certain times seems to go away with a refresh. - Robert Sanzalone
Refreshing the device seems, at least in my experience, to only be a temporary fix. I've even restored my device to the latest build of OS 2.0 to no avail. Definitely looks like what Stuart is referring to in that Apple discussions link. I might wait until 2.1 before taking any additional actions. We'll see, as it all depends on how annoying it becomes. - Scott Jarkoff
do you mean mobile plurk, or the regular plurk? the mobile version is generally considered to Suck Less. some people use the mobile version on their desktops and laptops :-) - Karim
Mobile version? Just not an intuitive interface. - Robert Sanzalone
my karma continues to plummet... I don't use it - AnotherⓃⓄⒶⒽ
I'm just not a plurk guy. Can't seem to help it. - Chris Brogan
not thinking it's too good anywhere else either ... - Jonathan Greene
My plurk karma also keeps plummeting. I imagine you would have to hang out making a lot of small talk to keep it up. - Sandra Williams
