This sounds like a good show, and nice graphics! But how do you have time leo?! Sometimes during somewhat slow news weeks there is some overlap in news like macbreak and twit which can sometimes be annoying but still great shows as I'm sure this one will be as well. WIll jeff and gina always be there or more of a twit interchangeable style?

Google is taking over the world. Chrome OS = Android 2.0 for large laptop screens, Google Voice on Android and White Spaces will kill the $1 Trillion Telecom and ISP industry, you should talk about those ARM processor based netbooks that are coming out with Chrome browser in the next few months, they will take over the whole laptop market and start costing $150 with no contracts.

That's probably a bad move on Palm's part. They should've done what other 3rd party players did get an ID instead of trying to pretend to be an iPod. I bet Apple could take legal action on this issue and win.

Not at all Ryan. It feels great. Palm has hit a home run. I think there are some software flaws - it could be a tad more responsive - but those are easily fixed. I'm buying one tomorrow.

I don't think an iTunes update is going to bork this. If iTunes is recognising iPods based on USB IDs, and the Pre is pushing an iPod USB ID for it's mass storage device, then iTunes updates won't be able to do anything about it without breaking compatibility with iPods that use this USB ID. Taking Palm to court, on the other hand, might do the same thing from a different direction.

I was able to get my hands on a Pre for an hour yesterday. As an iphone owner since day 1 I'm very impressed. It has all the glitz and glamour of the iphone with the 2.0 software. ( plus cut, copy and paste and the ability to run multiple apps. Oh yeah and a dedicated keyboard too. All the features worked really well, especially synergy. The calendar app on the Pre makes the iphones implementation look like a really bad try.

The Pre USB hack also includes the fact it is made by Palm in the USB ID so it would be easy for Apple to block it. DVD John discovered how they did it

Stan, DRM free music is music that doesn't have DRM (like the amazon store, the iTunes store since the recent change, and other music stores) Loe was just saying that his DRM music didn't transfer over to the Pre
