"Hi Michela @Michela Stribling ! Your words are so very true. I do the same and choose the blogs I visit daily on such criteria! Hope you are doing great! Have a wonderful wknd! :)"

"Good point maybe I am biased because I have actually taken the time to understand Haydn's methodology and the Peek platform. I was on his list two years in a row and was curious as to the algorithm so I did research. I guess his post was clear to me but could be because I understood it prior. I see your point where it may not be as clear to others. I like others don't see how the list you write above is any different than that of this list or @Jure KLEPIC 's. They are still lists, subjective and biased, no way around it. No matter what tools exist we can not and will not ever be able to fully measure influence. Will we get closer, of course. But can we ever put a finger on it or a list that everyone will agree with? I vote no because it is subjective, period. My question is could anyone create an "influencer" or "social media" list that is 100% accurate? I don't think it's possible as it's all subjective."

"Coming back to add a comment on your last point about sometimes being honest stirs up controversy. Yes, this is so very true. There are some things I simply can't help but write about because I am so passionate about them. Will they stir up emotion and possibly controversy? Yes. But that is not the goal."

"Wow, I love your comment "I just want to "be" @Mark W. Schaefer . That is very much my strategy. I am so with you on this. I am tired by the folks who know better creating controversy for sake of readership. If you disagree with a subject, concept, approach then disagree with it but do it with tact, not by attacking others or having a primary goal to create controversy. I actually made a commitment to my readers last year to eliminate (or at least aggressively minimize) negative content on my blog. I had gotten a lot of attention after writing the post about deleting my Klout profile. It was not the traffic I wanted and it stirred up so much emotion, wasted time, wasted energy and did everything on this list you mention in the post. I learned that is not who I was or what I wanted to spend my time on. While I stay 100% honest on all of my blog posts, social media status updates and am always happy to voice an opinion I also don't purposely start stuff for attention. I try to focus on..."

"Depends on the brand @Steve Thorwald . There are many brands who live this and do so purposefully. There are also some who wish they could. Each characteristic can be broken down into actionable strategies and tactics so I would argue that it is not idealistic unless you do nothing to get there. If you dream about it and do not make moves to get there then yes, it is idealistic. Interested in your response on such."

"I love your use of the word "natural" @denysedd . It really is how it works. The more you focus on others and providing them relevant value the more organically and natural the results come as well. Thanks for taking time to stop by & comment."

"I agree with you and many of the names you list above should be on the list. However, we could find many lists we, those listed above and others are not listed on that should be. I think you know how I feel about lists as well as influence. Haydn did also make it clear the specific criteria he used, right or wrong. We can never truly measure influence and therefore there will also never be a perfect list of "influencers." Lists are as good as the person making them and the data they are using. We are all influenced by different people organically. As an example I know most of the people on this list well. However, there are even a few I don't know and have never read their content. So, does that make them non-influential? Of course not, they just don't influence me, yet. ;) There is no perfect list and I don't think it's fair to criticize those who do show up on lists (not saying that you did in this post.) I show up on many lists I wish I could remove myself from. As you know the..."

"Thanks @Pragati Bidkar , glad you liked it. Yes, I agree in that it is hard to convince some clients. We gave up on doing such long ago. We choose now to work with clients who want to do it right and can understand the real "heartbeat of social media." Either get on the bus or get ran over ;)"

"Thanks so much @Lynn Abate-Johnson sorry I am late getting to these comments. I am now back from Spain. Was an amazing experience. Thanks for the kind words!"
