The ‘Spell Number’ easter egg to unlock Emoji icons works as follows: Download the ‘Spell Number’ application from the App Store and install it to your iPhone (running firmware 2.2 ). Launch ‘Spell Number’ and enter ‘9876543.21′. Quit ‘Spell Number’ and go back to the iPhone’s ‘Home’ screen. Select the Settings application, choose ‘General’, ‘Keyboard’, ‘International Keyboards’, ‘Japanese’, and turn the Emoji option on.
