How The Top 500 Fastest Growing Companies Are Using Social Media - http://jeffbullas.com/2009...
"Great post, Jeff!I've added this to Evernote for future reference since I'll be doing another presentation on social media and blogging for the practicing chiropractor during the first quarter of 2010. These are great stats to show that even the small business owner needs to have a presence online through blogs and social media networks. Thanks again for the time you took to put these stats together!" - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

Michael Hyatt Blog : 7 Strategies for Keeping the Internet from Taking Over Your Life - http://michaelhyatt.com/2009...
"Thank you, Karyn, for this timely post. As more and more of life is moving online, I believe the key is balance. As a father and husband, it's my desire to provide not only quality time with my children and wife but also enough time. Because of your post I'm re-evaluating my schedule to make sure I keep first things first. I particularly like number seven on your list. What a great idea that I'd like to implement! God Bless!" - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

"Wow! Downloading now!! Even with the fixes and changes, Headway is still the most advanced theme on the market. Plus, with the new Visual Editor, it doesn’t matter if you know how to code or not. Simply make the changes on-the-fly and you’r good to go. Thanks again, Clay and Grant, for an over-the-top product and stellar customer support. Your Blog Needs a Kick in the Pants, or Maybe You Do - http://www.blogforprofit.com/kick-yo...
"To arrogantly claim that my blog DOESN’T need a swift Kick in the Butt would be foolish. Learning is a daily process and needs to be embraced consistently. Furthermore, having your workbook would simply aid me in implementing the plethora of tips and strategies that were shared over the course of 31 days without having to click back and forth between posts. Until the decision’s been made, my fingers are crossed!" - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

Michael Hyatt Blog : Don’t Leave the “Social” Out of Social Media - http://michaelhyatt.com/2009...
"Great post, Peter! I'm amazed at how marketers have simply moved their outbound strategies and tactics from traditional to online vehicles. For example, just take a look at Twitter. Instead of including "social" within marketers' tweets, we get inundated with auto and SPAM bots that just regurgitate meaningless tweets pitching some product or "get rich quick" scheme. This is a guaranteed unfollow and block! :-D If people want to get the most out of social media, they must remember to join in on the conversation. That is one of the reasons why I follow and read Michael Hyatt's tweets and posts. He's interesting, personal and actually participates in the conversation. I thoroughly enjoyed your post, Peter. Keep up the great writing!" - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

"The only one I haven’t read is Social Media Marketing: An Hour a Day. Nevertheless, you’re dead on with this list. They are all “Must Reads”. Another one that I’d suggest is Get Content, Get Customers. Very insightful and well written." - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

And, you’re a great student considering the results you and your practice have been enjoying from the use of your blog and social media networks. Avoiding Writers Block (Day 9-31 Kick Butt) - http://www.blogforprofit.com/kick-yo...
"A wise mentor friend of mine always said, “Paper is cheaper than brains, write it down!” To this end, I always keep a notepad handy in my nightstand so that I’m always ready to be able to capture any thought or idea that may come to my mind throughout the night. I guarantee you that this will aid tremendously in creating your list. If you don’t use a notepad, you’re robbing your innate from reaching its potential and won’t remember that brilliant idea that has the ability to catapult you forward come morning. Outside of the old-fashioned notepad, I use Evernote and Jott. If I’m trying to organize a series, I’ll also throw ideas into either some >mindmapping software</a or an equivalent online version. Hope this helps!" - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

"Great post, Grant! For beginning bloggers, I think plugins become a huge distraction. When they should be concentrating on content, they find themselves staring at WordPress’s endless list of plugins trying to figure out which ones will look cool or flashy. Plugins are simply tools to make the reader’s experience effortless and the blogger’s goals easily and efficiently achieved. Looking forward to the rest of the series!" - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

Michael Hyatt Blog : Book Notes: Free - http://michaelhyatt.com/2009...
"The concept of "FREE" on the Internet has been around for sometime. One example is how marketers use it to exchange prospect email addresses via simple email opt-ins for a free PDF ebook or White Paper. However, I'm curious to see how far Chris takes this concept because I don't believe people are innately looking online for more free information. Matter of fact, I don't believe they're even looking for information to increase their knowledge. What they're looking for is information that provides them the benefits of knowledge because it's the benefits of knowledge that ultimately meets their wants and desires. As you can tell, I'm of the mindset that content is extremely valuable. Whether it be text-based, audio or video, if it provides value, people will pay for it. Nevertheless, I'm curious to read about Chris's epiphany -- even if I go against my own mindset and receive it FREE. ;) Thanks for your consideration!" - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

Retweeting on the rise, linking and commenting is declining and we are all just too lazy - http://www.blogforprofit.com/links...
"Nothing like a good kick in the ole keister, Grant! Aptly put and point taken. However, for me, it typically comes down to time more than laziness. I like my followers to know what I’m reading, will typically comment on some of the posts and then Evernote the link for future blog reference. Also, sorry if I showed up your other readers by commenting. I tried not to come across as an overachiever but I wanted to prove your post wrong! Build Traffic For Your Blog by Commenting on Other Blogs - http://www.thefutureofblog.com/2009...
"Very valid points, Jeremiah. Within my niche, most doctors fail to understand the importance of commenting even though it’s part of the whole Web 2.0 phenomena. Consequently, commenting is a rare commodity. Most readers, unfortunately, usually show up, read the information and move on. I understand that life is busy but incredibly valuable content can be found in the comment section of posts as the conversation evolves into more deeper dialogue. On another point, I, too, have looked at CommentLuv and am considering it. Also, another comment service I like is Intense Debate. Like they say, It’s designed to encourage and enhance the conversation. Take care, Dr. MacNamara" - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

The Case Against Auto-DM’s On Twitter - http://www.davidrisley.com/2009...
"David, Thanks for the post! You make very valid and intelligent points. Auto-DMing sales pitches especially with no relationship established is completely unacceptable in my book. That’s a sure-fire way of not only being “unfollowed” but also blocked. Queuing this up for a RT!" - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

Display your tweets without a plugin - http://www.kristarella.com/2009...
"Kristarella, Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. I incorporated it into my newly launched blog and it works like a charm. One question: How can I set the position/order in which it displays in the sidebar? For example, each time I enable a new widget, the Tweet section gets pushed further down the page. I’d like it to stay in position 4 right underneath the “Email Updates” widget. Is this possible? Thanks in advance!" - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

Five Things You Should Do after Installing WordPress - http://rickbeckman.org/five-th...
"Thanks for the excellent post! My question is how did you create the colored box at the end of the post titled “Enhance Your Blog with Thesis”? I’d love to recreate something like that on my blog but haven’t been able to find the answer in the DIYthemes forum. I’ve seen it on your blog, Brian Clark’s and, recently, on Rae Hoffman’s. Michael Hyatt Blog : How Can You Get Published If You Don’t Have a Platform? - http://michaelhyatt.com/2009...
"Thank you, Michael, for an excellent post! Just like Donald Kendall once said, "The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.” It takes a great deal of blood, sweat and tears to land a book deal. And, what better way to establish yourself than through a blog. Many entrepreneurs have utilized blogging as the platform that propelled them forward toward meeting their business goals. I applaud your sound advice and simple-to-follow steps to success. I just hope that the individual that emailed you will learn from your wisdom and apply it within her own set of circumstances." - Dr. Patrick MacNamara

Susan Boyle Phenomenon and Small Business - http://www.blogforprofit.com/social-...
"Excellent guest post! I echo everything Mr. Merenda says. Basically, it comes down to this for the small business owner — innovate or die. Regardless if your business is a product-oriented or service-oriented company, you’ve got to harness the power of the internet through social media to get your message out. You’ve also got to focus on building the relationships which in return will build the trust. Then and only then will you reap the benefits. Twitter for Chiropractors and other Health Professionals - http://www.leoraw.com/blog...
"Leora, Thank you for a wonderful post! Twitter is growing by leaps and bounds. And, it is a tremendous tool to use for communication. However, the majority of chiropractors simply don’t even utilize the main tool of social media which is a blog. According to a recent study by Richard Telofski, Principal Consultant of a New Jersey based social media research company, Kahuna Content, says, “American chiropractors should be jumping en masse into the blog marketing pool, but most won’t even get their feet wet. How do we know this? Because less than one percent of American chiropractors blog and, of those that do, over one-third of chiropractor blogs are inactive and look like sad puppy dogs abandoned by the side of the road. Unfortunately, blogging as a marketing tool is not regarded seriously by America’s chiropractors. In fact, their absence from blogging is just downright astounding.” It’s astounding because there is a high correlation between the average blog reader and the average..." - Dr. Patrick MacNamara
