I meant golden girls, I was trying to fit the character limit; I've seen every episode of the Gilmore Girls, 'cause that's how I roll

"If you're still mourning the loss of Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, BBC America hopes to ease your pain. Their new teens-fighting-the-underworld series, Demons, premieres this Saturday in the States. We got a sneak peak. The premise behind Demons, which aired in the UK on ITV earlier in the year, is much the same as Buffy — cute teenager finds out they have an innate ability to battle evil while balancing school, dating, and driving tests (the latter not so well). In this version the cute teenager is a boy, but like Buffy, Luke Rutherford, played by Christian Cooke (a Gossip Girl clone) has a mentor who teaches him the ways of demon slaying. Rupert Galvin, played by Philip Glenister of UK's Life on Mars, is a sarcastic American, often referred to as the "colonial". He unfortunately is a bit of a drag on the show as he tries too hard to channel CSI: Miami's David Caruso — and well, no one should do that, not even Caruso himself. "

In 2009, FriendFeed was the #2 referral of traffic to my blog, beating Twitter (#3 overall), trailing only Google. Facebook was 15th. (Any bets on 2010 for those 3?)
My guess is that Facebook will drive more traffic in 2010 especially if Friendfeed is folded into it. I bet Twitter drops a place or two also.

Jandy - which one was it that you liked the most? I still can't find the EP. Stupid brain.
- Lis
I'm sure there are boys that want to meet Lis badly too
- RAPatton
RAP - you find me a smart boy willing to take on this amount of crazy and I'll pay you a matchmaking fee. Oh, and one who wants kids and wants me to stay at home with them;)
- Lis
Lis, the crazy isn't so bad, but many of them are already married, and LA isn't a target rich environment
- RAPatton
RAP - no, it's not. Which is why I keep promising to do jdate and then getting scared about it.
- Lis
What is to be scared of? You'll might go out with a lot of losers, but it might be fun, and along the way, you might find a few friends and lovers
- RAPatton
RAP - and THAT is why I do not do bars. I do want to do jdate, but I'm afraid that I'll scare every guy off. Or that no one will want to even go out on a date.
- Lis
you are cute, I'm sure there are guys that will want to go out. They might be more interested in physical things than in a relationship, but they'll want to go out. It is just another bar, but one you can screen at a greater distance, but at the end of the day, you have to take some risks if you want to increase your odds of success

""Walking with dinosaurs" also generally describes the upper ranks of Pollstar's list, which is typically top-heavy with acts that launched their careers in the '80s or earlier. Still, there are enough younger artists charting well to suggest the concert business won't collapse when the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, John, U2 and Springsteen eventually retire."

I bought their latest album and don't think I listened to the whole thing all the way through once. I would very much like to see them live, though. Seems like such a spectacle. And I know everyone's gaga for Avatar, but if you can see the U2 3D movie (it was at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I think, but was in theaters a while ago), you won't be sorry.

I bought their latest too and didn't care for it; I saw them live when theyvtoured supporting Elevation and I was surprised and impressed

I watched their YouTube thing and suitably awed.

The sold GA tickets, and I really only like GA concerts, so we were down near the stage and had a blast. PJ Harvey opened which was pretty nice too

Mark, Alex and I are clearly interested in different things regarding home theater. Most of what I've learned about it has been in the last year, whereas Alex has built up his lack-of-knowledge over many years. ;)

Akiva, are single quotes used to denote projection? E.g. 'platonic homosexual love affair' :)

"2009 was a year for the record books, but 2010 is shaping up to do it one better. With Marvel’s Siege event chomping at the bit to begin and DC prepping itself to take advantage of the upswing Blackest Night brought on, the other players in the game are poised to make 2010 a year for themselves as well. Who will be the winners? We won’t know until the books are on sale, but for now we can point out some titles to watch come 2010. Newsarama gathered the facts, analyzed the fiction, and reviewed the rumors to delineate who and what we think will the Ten for '10 - the top things to watch in the New Year of 201o. Today’s focus is on comic book series and books – some are continuation of hits from 2009 and some are newcomers in the new year. Let’s dig in!"

I'm interested in all of these EXCEPT Image United; even with Invincible it just doesn't grab me

"A toast to you, blog readers, for staying in touch year round! If women, water, and trees are what I most enjoy drawing, than BUILDINGS rank last. Chapter seven has lots of them, and I keep getting slowed down by tedious perspective drawings. Here’s a photo reference from an overpass construction site near my house — along with pencils and inks. Even though my schedule slipped a bit in December, it’s safe to declare that 2010 will be the year HABIBI sees completion. Below, a photo from my birthday in the frigid Pacific waters. Here’s to the new year!"

"Without them, there wouldn’t be anything to read about. We’re talking about the characters.. That’s the subject of today’s Ten for ‘10 - a look at the top things to watch in 2010 in comics and genre entertainment. We’ve gone far and wide ransacking and pillaging the comic book countryside trying to get a bead on the 10 characters you should keep your eye on in the new year. We’ve got a healthy share of superheroes, super-villains, super-slackers and super-simians, so let’s get right to it..."

The almost-great escape: Panda cub Wen Li makes a break for freedom from nursery pen - but is collared by her handler | Mail Online - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news...
"Testing the boundaries is part of growing up.So Wn Li the panda club was only doing what comes naturally when she struggled up the side of her playpen to explore.First one paw appeared, then the other and finally she pulled herself up to the top. Unfortunately, her sense of balance is still a bit wobbly and she toppled over the side, ending up with little more than an upside-down view of the inside of her pen. The failed attempt did not appear to deter Wen Li, however. She was later spotted in what seems to be her favourite position once more - dangling from the edge of her playpen again. These images of Wen Li - and her apparently quieter and better-behaved twin sister Ya Li - were taken at the Chengdu Giant Panda Research Institute. Wen Li and Ya Li were born on July 19, 2009. "

"When the final papers came through ending their marriage, Lee and Jan Jones both felt they needed a shoulder to cry on. So they turned to the people they knew best - each other. Within hours of arranging to meet and discuss the divorce, they decided it had been a terrible mistake. And on Christmas Eve, six weeks after the decree absolute, the couple remarried with their ten children acting as bridesmaids and page boys."
