This is what the 'croppies' say ... This beautiful formation has appeared at Wayland Smithy on this day August 12th, The number 12 is significant within this design. The revelation came when we counted the outer sections of the pattern, and realised the full significance. There is a clear and concise message here, as I’m sure it was no coincidence to turn up on the 12th August. This important formation with regard to its numerology, not only signified that this date was part of the message, but also of the overall design. On closer inspection of the design, there is a remarkable resemblance to Gothic Architecture, especially Rose Windows, seen in many cathedrals from the 13th Century throughout many parts of Europe. Rose windows utilise geometry on three levels: manifest, hidden, and symbolic. Another interesting old photo. That is the Southern Right Hotel on the left and the bathing boxes of Glencairn Beach . There is a structure behind on the terrace where LeRuaRua is now doing it's thing. It may be the modified remains of the ship's bridge from the Clan Stewart which used to be there.
Here's an old photo found while restoring Southern Right Hotel. You can see 'Blue waters?' valley in the background( where the dump now is) and Admiralty house behind the stern of the ship. Best guess so far is that it is East Yard.
Here are some old pictures taken from Elsies Peak. The top one sometime late ww1, testing a rail mounted gun. The railway siding was for the old cement works, I think. The middle one taken in 1974, the bottom one in 1914.
