Right, plus the idea of "party" is that you put the desires of the party above your own conscience or the will of your constituency. That's not representative government. To me the idea of "party" reminds me of the Communist or Nazi "Party" It just reeks of totalitarianism, and in practice, even in our system, that's partially what we are getting, when they either bribe or threaten the representative, if they don't vote a certain way.
