@Kol, the invitation process seems to be based on nominations. For example, everytime someone nominates/invites you, you get bumped up the queue for an account until you're at the top and you get sent an invite by the team

How does anyone know if someone has already been invited? You could go back and edit your comment when you receive an invitation, but since that takes days, it could be ages before you know.

The problem with a Leatherman, engraved pocket knife, etc is if a groomsman forgets to put it in his checked luggage and he's at the airport and would like to actually fly home. I'm not speaking from experience or anything, no sir-ee.

I gave out nice wallets to my groomsmen - it's something every guy uses on a near daily basis, and the kind of thing most guys don't think to go and buy unless their current wallet is torn up. They were all very appreciative of them.

I'm obviously not a groomsman but best gift R ever got was a swiss army knife, engraved. Nowadays too much of a problem. More useful than flasks, mugs, pens etc. But to me the best gift would probably be a photo... i.e. get your photographer to take a good solo portrait of each and give them a print or even the file - most people have so few good pro photos :D

Please tell me your shirt for the wedding has french cuffs, Alex! But seriously, check out the Jack Black stuff. It is really nice... I steal Tad's daily moisturizer. Also, a shaving brush is something a lot of guys wouldn't think to get for themselves (of quality at least) but is a great staple.
