Eh, I'm concerned that we're talking about an unreleased game in terms of "how many awards it's already won". They hype machine was criticized last year for games like assassin's creed, etc. When it comes out if there is a noticeable difference, ok, but till then I haven't seen anything from Dead Space that trumps games already out on 360 & PS3 - Richard Lawler via twhirl

Of course the PS3 looks better. No one is doubting it is a more powerful system. The problem is, it doesn't have anywhere near as many good games as the 360 or as good of an Online system as Xbox Live. - Adam Teece via twhirl

There are less than 10 games worth getting for the Wii...Maybe 20...The 360 has at least 50 games that are worth buying. Only reason the Wii has sold so well so far is a blend of marketing, controller paradigm shift and price of the console. 360 still leads in attach rate though. More people buy more stuff for the 360 than the other 2 next gen consoles. Which means Microsoft actually makes more money per 360 than the other 2...Unfortunately, they've also lost a lot of money from all the 360 failures. - AlexScoble(Robert'sBro)

I disagree with robert based on what I've seen, however i haven't seen dead space so I'll wait till it come out. Basing this on one game is a bad idea - all it really means is that the port was lame. You can build a game for either system that looks better than the other - they are roughly equal. However Xbox Live is miles ahead of any other experience and the development path makes it much easier to build great games. Add in the media integration with windows networks and it's a real winner. - Soulhuntre

The problem with FriendFeed is that as more people come in, the conversations here are more and more mainstream. FriendFeed has some major problems with ability of focusing the info. Here, try to tell FriendFeed "show me all posts about John Edwards that have two or more likes and two or more comments." You can't do that. Until it does it'll turn more and more noisy and less and less addictive. - Robert Scoble

Lucky for me, a search like "show me all posts about x that have y or more likes and x or more comments" isn't something that even crosses my mind on FF. It's the feeds...of my friends. Of which I don't have 450. So I can actually, you know, read and respond. (note: that doesn't mean that different people can't use it otherwise, it just doesn't apply to me). - Ken Kennedy

I've found out information about Oregon (http://friendfeed.com/e/a3311f...), information about the best places to live (http://friendfeed.com/e/0fd428...), SEO Help (http://friendfeed.com/e/b7039e...), types of statistical analysis software (http://friendfeed.com/e/3df5ca...), what time Mad Men starts (http://friendfeed.com/e/9c6c86...), website feedback (http://friendfeed.com/e/ef8e5a...), and that's only in the past week or so. - Mark Trapp

It depends on the type of info you are looking for. I find causal info (like Mark's Oregon question) or social networking info can be found easily. Venture out of that and base doesn't exist yet Mailing lists and google groups still give far better info for much of what i'm interested in. - Doug Brooks

We've been worried that our youngest will start saying things that our older kids have been saying so we put a rule in place for them - avoid the words "crappy" and "stupid" (and some others). I, too, was excited this morning and even felt kind of warm and loved by the big U.S. exclusive iPhone provider - like maybe they really did want to be closer to the cutting edge and show their highly-paying customers some goodness. @alexei It's always compared to what. Audiophiles tell you that CDs suck compared to vinyl LPs. mp3 suck more. But people have huge tolerance for mediocre sound. What is the sound like on EDGE? 3G in our building is pathetic, but the phone refuses to give up even the weakest available 3G signal in favor of a stronger EDGE signal.
