"Wow Steve I was almost shuddering reading this. I came from an extremely dysfunctional family, my father in my teen years became an alcoholic. I was the oldest of 4 and was given the responsibility to raise my siblings a lot of the time, including being in charge of them flying first time out of the country from Sydney to Fiji when I was the grand old age of 12 years old. I have to admit love being a troubleshooter when everything has gone to hell, a strange calm comes over me. Thanks for this post it is incredibly self revelatory. Best Pemo Theodore, AstraMatch Blog"

"All these experiences you speak about leave a very bad taste & reflect as certain people acting like spoilt brats! I guess manners, courtesy & kindness to fellow people need to be brought to the table in these instances. Isn't one of the reasons about being in your own business, is that you get to call who you will do business with? Hopefully the bad smell that these experiences leave (& thank goodness for social media cause now they are not hidden) will ensure that those who perpetrated them may think twice next time & those who may fall into a similar ungracious attitude will remember that stuff you do is not hidden anymore. Maybe a new moral code needs to be written up with a foundation of love & respect of fellow human beans? Hmm just more questions...."

"We think most other reports on the news missed a key point, too, though. Everyone focused on the new option for shared messages to be publicly visible outside the constraints of a Facebook user's friends network - people called it a shot at the wide open paradigm of Twitter. In fact, the biggest change may be that sharing options are becoming much more granular - more human."

This is an interesting article and I think that not only should facebook be clear about its privacy options but it could also make editing settings & other stuff on facebook more user friendly. It can take a while to work out how to turn something off or on and there is a minimum of info to guide people. facebook obviously know what they are doing but the truth is they are serving a very large public & they may need to remember that. Thanks for the post! Pemo Theodore, AstraMatch Blog

"Ann as you know I find you a great role model & your posts are also encouraging me to get my act together too. However I am interested in doing some creative videos that have bits edited into them. How do you feel about that? I must be a bit funky, I guess. But I like that creative expression. Anyway will put something together now that you've got me going. Keep up the great work of inspiring us all!"

"I agree with you about not doing Vista Business 32bit. I purchased a Dell laptop Oct 07 & since then have had to reload my hard drive 10 times due mainly to Vista's instability????? OMG I have better things to do with my time & energy. Now I have Windows 7 RC and find it much more stable - however I think Microsoft should be giving us old Vista users free upgrade to Windows 7. At the end of 07 when I would call Dell tech lines noone wuld say anything bad about Vista & last year when I called they would all agree. It appeared that in Europe anyway Dell tech help didnt seem to be using Vista either but had obviously been fielding many calls from dissatisfied Vista users for long enough for them to acknowledge that the OS was unstable. Microsoft should admit their mistake & make all these disgruntled customers happy & give them Windows 7."
