Fastest==best is not, of course, a law of nature, but a capitalist/industrialist meme in our culture, starting ~150 years ago: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... . Everything==war is because we're the cultural descendants of winners of war & conquest for ~2K years: Roman Empire, Imperio Español, British Empire, Pax Americana. http://peterkaminski.com/blog... . After 2K years, we tend to think the process of conflict and resolution must be part of a conquest.
