of course louis gray liked this. I'd be willing to bet Scoble will like it too. - David Thomas
his bits have a "willingness to pay" attached - nice toll bridge - these are the examples of why the long tail is so very wrong as analysis of what works on-line, two cents ... - Scott Moskowitz
David, I don't believe my blog is for sale, nor is Scoble's. No ads, no revenue, no valuation! :-) - Louis Gray

I honestly have only tried to get back into facebook because of the good friends I have made here on FF...LOL - Rahsheen™
I do. It's what I use to stay in touch with some of my contacts. - Vincent X
Yes, most of my RL friends are there, it's just too bad they didn't accept my FF invitations. :( - BeeLing
not in a long time. - Ẉ¡ĊḱḙƉ
It's how I stay in touch with my non-techie friends and family. - Andre Maltais
I am, most when I get notifications of activity in my Gmail account. - Hutch Carpenter
Yeah. I use it to keep in touch with real life friends. - Eric
Funny, I just tweet that Facebook is the most boring place ever! - fbrunel
I only go there when GMail tells me someone wants something, from me, there.. *sigh* - Heidi Jeffers Thibodeau
Never have, never will. - K Welch
very rarely. easy way to keep in contact without calling or emailing. - Melissa Maskevich
Sometimes, I just don't understand who decides when something is 'no longer cool'. Since when is Facebook bad? Is this the new 'thing'? - Fleagle
It's how I keep in touch with my non-early adopter friends. - xero
i try to stay away s much as possible. the new design is as repelling to me as i couldnt have imagined possible. too crowded, too user-unfriendly... - Hayk Hakobyan
not really. only go if it's the only way i can respond to someone's e-mail. - edythe
Yes, but don't like the new design. - Jill Hurst-Wahl
Yes, and I like the new design! - Bonnie Dean
I use it for real-life peoples because, to be honest, I'd rather some of them didn't find out about this place ... they'd ruin it! - Timothy Griffin
I do. I use Facebook to stay in touch with friends, just don't "stay" on it like I do on FF all day long. - Metta (Kamath)
Anyway, Facebook and FF are not equivalents. - Metta (Kamath)
I still have an account there. What exactly should one use it for? - Morton Fox
multiple times a day, but almost exclusively through their excellent iPhone app. too many people I know are only on Facebook. - Jon Price
On and off - April Buchheit
On and off is right. I logon, and then within 2 minutes I logoff. - Chris White
Yeah it's how I keep up with old friends. - Carmen
Only when forced to. Bad things keep happening there. My last ex announced his arranged engagement to me there (I purposefully never saw him again after that). My little sister got the bright idea to announce her out-of-wedlock pregnancy to me there, instead of face to face or even on the phone. (First pregnancy among my siblings and myself. I was seriously not amused.) My hair stylist says I need to put a disclaimer on there or something that basically says "QUIT IT! If you have something important to say, grow a pair and go talk to Kamilah! Do NOT do it here!" It's also blocked at work, so it has limited use for me. - Kamilah Gill
I have a load of friends using it, so I do still use it. However, i mostly login only when I get an email notifying me of something pending. - Parth Awasthi
I also use it only when someone wants me to check something. I hope my friends are all here at Friendfeed - AJ Batac ♘

Browser Speed Tests: The Compiled, Up-to-Date Results
September 26 at 12:12 pm - via Bookmarklet - Link
I have not found this to be the case...Chrome wins every time for me...Including memory management...and Firefox seems to be the worst for me when it comes to memory management...The only thing Google grinds to a halt for is a page with a Java applet or some Flash applications... - Sean McGee
This is the exact order I have the icons on my desktop. And yes, it's because it's alphabetical =/ - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
I moved back to FF as default. Missing extensions too much, and hating ads too much too. Chrome is second, and use it mostly for Gmail. - Juan Pablo González
I've been using Opera since 6.0. Always seems fast for me. I wish it had a better ad-blocker though... - Mark VandenBerg
Firefox 3 RC 3? - Yu-Jie Lin
Mark, I find Opera takes the least memory on my system with regular use as well. Caveat: I don't use Safari often, only for testing, so I can't really say how it performs over the long haul. - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
Chrome-not available for mac. I move between Safair/Webkit and FF depending on what I'm doing. - Paul W. Swansen
for me chrome is simply lots faster then every other browser and i don´t need tests for it - it´s simply obvious! - Dieter Schwarz
Would be nice to see a Mac-centric version of this test. As far as I can tell, Safari does better on the Mac than it does in Windows. - flammable
On Linux, I find Prism marginally quicker than firefox, and cxChromium (open source Chrome for Linux w/Wine) is a wee bit quicker than Prism, but they're still all much of a muchness here. - Slippy Lane
I won't leave Firefox for any reason until a browser arrives which gives me the option to extend its functionality through addons and extensions. (Can afford the memory load). - kunwar

Some of us are smart and use OpenOffice :) - Fred Grott
I hate Word LOL - Mona N.
so stop using it - Fred Grott
I use Google docs now. :) - Mona N.
That's similar to a chart my buddy has for web designers. The whole green piece says "Making the %)*%@#$ site work in IE" - Candace Holly
I can't say how much I hate Word. And, to be honest, every time I've used OO, I feel like it's a clone, and just as clunky. Now I'll go back to writing Latex in Vim :) - Michael C. Harris
WIN - Mona N.
WIN FAIL, even - WorldofHiglet
Wow, dead accurate - Rahsheen™
LaTex - that takes me back - writing research papers and being sure what they'll look like until they come back from the print center. - Robert Hafer
make that "not being sure" geesh, it's like I'm still using LaTex on my VT100 - Robert Hafer
So True! - Ron
JDarkroom on a flash drive... or Q10, depending on my mood and need for wordcount/stats onscreen. Just words. No bullshit. Word properly set up, though, -can- rock hard for more complex documents, but at some point you gotta move on to, say, Framemaker.... - abacab
Google Docs? - Igor Poltavskiy
Hell. Yes. I'm pretty much a Notepad (or at worst Wordpad) user unless I need advanced features. And then I've turned off most of Word's auto formatting things I can find. - Jandy Stone
What's wrong with Google Docs? @Jandy: Notepad LOL I TOTALLY still use that haha - Mona N.
OMG the automatic formatting is SUCH a pet peeve of mine! HATE x 1000! - Trish R
I use GoogleDocs when I think about it; but it prints kinda funky, so I never used it for school, which was when I mostly used word processing anyway. LOVE Notepad. It doesn't frak up html. :) - Jandy Stone
EPIC WIN. Candace's friend's chart would be awesome, too. That's another EPIC WIN: "Making the %)*%@#$ site work in IE". So I'm not the only one who uses Google Docs now? (OpenOffice isn't really necessary yet... Word 2003 and I have reached an understanding, but it's not my go-to program at all.) - Voyagerfan5761
That used to be true in the days of office 2003 and older. I don't have any problems with office 2007. - Alexandru Savu
Mona, so true and one reason why I now use Pages or G Docs, life is more efficient these days - Sally Church
I absolutely despise Word. Working on getting my entire company switched to Google Docs via Google Apps. I either use Google Docs or, when on my mac, Pages. - Robert DeBord
If have to use Word on a regular basis, it's worth reading up on the automatic formatting as there some commands that you *must not* use otherwise you'll start to descend into formatting hell. Come back Lotus Wordpro! All is forgiven! - Stuart Woodward
Lotus Wordpro...i was too stupid to even get that. I used to write all my term papers in Lotus 1-2-3. - Faboo Mama

Genius also includes Genius sidebar, which recommends music from the iTunes Store that you don't already have. With iTunes 8, browse your artists and albums visually with the new Grid view; download your favorite TV shows in HD quality from the iTunes Store; sync your media with iPod nano (4th generation), iPod classic (2nd generation), and iPod touch (2nd generation); and enjoy a stunning new music visualizer."" - Kevin Rose
