As promised I am posting more screenshots of OurDoings' lightbox on the iPad. My conclusion in the morning that the light box can be removed is not correct. In most situations the light box actually works well, especially in the landscape mode. It's only in the portrait mode, when viewing pictures of a day, the image displayed in the lightbox is the same size as that already displayed on the website. I'm terms of navigation, notice the small right/left arrows at the bottom. They are difficult to hit with the finger and I've managed to hit everything around it. Also, the lightbox has a feature that the right/left halves of the picture act as left and right navigation links. The icons for these links are not visible and only prior knowledge can help one use these links. Overall, I'm impressed that out of the box OurDoings displays very well on the iPad. Also with the email integration I find it very convenient to post to OurDoings from the iPad.

Glad to hear. My next steps will be to hide the Cooliris Slideshow tab when Flash is unavailable, then contact the author of prettyPhoto (that the OurDoings lightbox is based on) and see about plans for better iPad support.

Hey Pavan, try the new slideshow. It's better on every platform (other than FF3 or IE7), but especially improved on the iPad. You can swipe to switch pictures now. The photos fill the screen. Controls disappear after a few seconds, and reappear on a tap.

RT @weathernetwork: #Ottawa got a whopping 90.4 mm of rain yesterday. Pardon the pun, but that blows the 1952 record of 32.8 mm out of the water! #wxfact
