It's just an XML feed I put on my server as I didn't figure out how else to get animations playing right on Friendfeed! Whenever I uploaded an animated GIF as a message here it wouldn't autoplay. Now when I want to include an animation I can just paste it in the XML. Not sure if there's an easier way... - Philipp Lenssen

No, the animated gif is indeed just an animated gif... Friendfeed does allow such animated gifs when included as a feed item thumbnail... - Philipp Lenssen
