The light, it burns!!!! And I just want one full night of good sleep!! 5 days of sleep similar to these last two nights is making me sleep later and later in the day to get any decent rest. *sighs* key: blue line is me at rest, pink spikes are when I move/toss and turn or even get up to go to the bathroom. So says the fitbit! :( Iz sleepy!!

Fitbit is something that tracked this for you? interested in doing similar. - Surprisingly Monstrous
Steve, the Fitbit is kind of a sophisticated pedometer. But it has a sleep mode. I can wear it while I sleep and it tracks if I'm moving during the time I've told it I'm trying to sleep. It doesn't know anything about how deep I'm sleeping only about movement vs non-movement. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper, I don't move much at all if I'm really sleeping so it does pretty well for me. It's Kevin's so I don't wear it every night. But I've been sleeping so badly that I borrowed it. http://www.fitbit.com/ - Rachel Lea Fox
Thank you much for the info. - Surprisingly Monstrous
No problem. There are other devices we have considered and still might try at some point which track more your stage of sleep and so on. We just haven't gotten that far yet. :) - Rachel Lea Fox
This data indicates that your body wants to wake up at dawn, but you didn't go to be on time for that to be reasonable. - Clare Dibble
This is interesting data. I bet Clare is right, it sure looks like your body wants to get up when the sun rises. - Maggie
Sadly my body NEVER wants to go to bed before midnight. Even when I had a job where I had to be up at 6:30am my body refused to let me sleep before midnight. This is also abnormal data for me. I have to see if we have any past data. Waking me up at dawn normally means that you are in for cranky Rachel! I actually think this means that the sun is waking me up because I'm not sleeping deeply at dawn. - Rachel Lea Fox
Ryan that is crazy interesting data! - Rachel Lea Fox
Rachel, what about my favorite natural remedy for getting to sleep at night? Two glasses of red wine starting at about 8pm? By 10:30 i'm snoring. :-) - Ryan Kaisoglus
Ryan, I'll try it however even pills (at least over the counter ones) don't normally work on me. I have a very stupid brain that fights it even though I would be more than happy for it to submit. I have been trying my still point inducer, which is a natural way of inducing sleep. Normally that works, but it hasn't been working this week. I'm just all kinds of off my game. :( - Rachel Lea Fox
I'm one of those lucky people who doesn't need an alarm clock and is pretty much in bed at the same time every night...but I think there is something to that. The body likes the rhythm. Maybe you just need to break _into_ a rhythm. Are you maybe exercising too late in the evening (anything past 8p and i'm too wired to sleep at my regular time), not exercising enough? Keeping your brain too active too late? - Ryan Kaisoglus
I use hypnosis MP3s to help me mellow out and fall asleep. I have them for abundance, weight loss, inspiring creativity, stress relief, and deep sleep. In the last few years since I started using the hypnosis stuff, it's been rare that I wake up in the middle of the night. - Corinne L
I'm pretty consistant on my sleeping normally. I think my current problem has to do when traveling for a week and sleeping on beds that were too soft and so no getting good sleep. I actually slept on the floor my last night because I couldn't sleep well. I got home and slept like the dead and A LOT for 2 nights and then suddenly hit these sleeping problems. I think something about not having been on my pattern for 2 weeks and bad sleep for most of it has thrown me all off and somehow I just have to get back to what my body wants. - Rachel Lea Fox
Corinne, problem is that I sleep in the same room as my husband. I think it would be hard to isolate it to me and not him. - Rachel Lea Fox
Hmm, yeah, that could make it difficult. - Corinne L
Bah. I can take whatever you take. :-) Hypnotize away! - Kevin Fox
Ambien FTW - Jeff (Team マクダジ ) from iPhone
Yeah Jeff, I haven't tried that one but I'm skeptical that it would work on me. Anyway. Here goes trying again!! Sleep... love me tonight!!! - Rachel Lea Fox
slept better last night. New graph coming. I think I'm turning into a data whore! - Rachel Lea Fox
