"For our non-Canadian readers, it might be pretty hard to understand why there’s been so much hype about WIND Mobile finally launching. It is just a cell phone carrier after all, right? Kind of. It is a business at the end of the day, and a business hopes to be profitable (they want to make as much money possible), but the reason WIND is so brilliant is because they’re capitalizing on years of pillaging by Canada’s big three mobile providers: Rogers, TELUS and Bell. We’re not going to get into why Canada’s cellular options are so bad and expensive — Canada is a huge country, 90% of the people live within a certain amount of miles to the U.S. border, people expect coverage everywhere, it’s expensive to maintain — because it doesn’t matter. What does matter is how revolutionary WIND is to the average Canadian cellular subscriber and how much money that person will save. Here’s an example of a standard Rogers phone bill for a BlackBerry:"

BGR's cost comparison didn't even include the 911 & system access fees the big three charged, which apparently went away as soon as Wind entered the market. http://www.thestar.com/busines... "Like magic, the three incumbent giants eliminated long-standing customer irritants including monthly system access and 911 fees."

"It’s normal to be afraid of something you don’t understand. For example, math, Tyler Perry, or whether or not girls actually fart are all quite scary things. However, I’m sure with a little research you’ll find that whatever was scaring you is really just Canadians with flashlights…"

"A couple more days and its gonna be November and here in the US, we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving (every 3rd Thursday of November). Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite holidays and I always look forward to it because its one of the times in the year where I get to spend time with family and friends and at the same time eat good food. Thanksgiving is the time to give thanks and express gratitude so in celebration of this special occassion, I’m giving away $1,500 worth of cash, premium WordPress themes and web hosting. This is my way of expressing my gratitude for all the blessings I’ve received this year including the recent achievements and success of JaypeeOnline."

"We generally aren’t intimidated by guys who are 5-foot-6 and 130 pounds, but Manny Pacquiao is a definite exception. This 30-year-old Filipino fighter, currently the IBO and Ring Magazine Light Welterweight champion, recently became the first Asian boxer to win five world titles in five different weight divisions, leading many pundits to label him the greatest pound-for-pound pugilist in boxing history."

"On September 26, 2009, Typhoon Ondoy brought a month's worth of rainfall to Metro Manila and nearby areas in just a few hours, causing severe flooding which resulted in the loss of many lives and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people. This site compiles relevant information about the disaster, including a volunteer-maintained map of persons needing rescue and a list of relief organizations accepting donations, so that more help can be provided where it is needed. You can also keep track of the latest news on Google News and YouTube."
