"That One was raised by a single mother and his grandparents. They didn't have much money, but they taught him values from the Kansas heartland where they grew up. He took out loans to put himself through school. After college, he worked for Christian churches in Chicago, helping communities devastated when steel plants closed. That One turned down lucrative job offers after law school to return to Chicago, leading a successful voter registration drive. He joined a small law firm, taught constitutional law and, guided by his Christian faith, stayed active in his community. That One and his wife Michelle are proud parents of two daughters, Sasha and Malia."

And That One didn't dump his wife for a younger, richer model either.

Is the momentum carrying, Jason? Or is use of Yammer fading? My group is fading some. Two sign-ins (Twitter & Yammer) a problem...

This post explains the core technologies that enable "popularity ranking" of feeds. To me this is really interesting stuff. To me, this is the answer to information overload. I can sort any feed I read via NewsGator by it's activity scoring, and just hit the highlights of the blog. This saves me time.

reading this also made me think about what Ze Frank has said - that the point of much user-generated content is not the content but the process and experience of generating it.

i have to agree, not that i've tried it yet for dating, but you DEFINITELY get more to come to know a person by via Twitter vs. via contact info. :-)

Wow. This so precisely aligns with my thinking on the potential value of enterprise Twitter. What he's put into words about weak ties, querying the corporate "social network" for business intelligence, unstructured collaboration fora could all be done in the corporate Twitter space. The importance of 'converting a potential tie' and helping people stay on top of their networks of loose ties maps perfectly onto the Twitter "Village"/Fox Taming metaphor I've talked about before.

Twitter could replace pagers in an enterprise IT corp setting.

Great tips. also think that I think NewsGator's (client) leadership in allowing you to parse and filter content based on attention and activity data is an important step in streamlining and improving the RSS reading experience...
